^^ Well... goes back a few years. I think it was back in 2001 (or 2002? can't seem to remember the timeline here)... she began dating Joo Young Hoon. They were in a serious relationship and were eventually engaged. She ended up leaving him for Shin Hyun Joon. Joo Young Hoon was, of course, devastated, but he eventually married another actress, Lee Yoon Mi. That love triangle there made for a lot of gossip and speculation at the time... but eventually, the relationship with Shin Hyun Joon didn't last either. I don't know for certain if she wasn't faithful to Joo Young Hoon, but a lot of people believe that she did cheat on him.

She was most recently linked to Cool K back in 2006... it doesn't even seem like it was that long ago that they broke up. And early this year (Jan. 2008) was when Son Tae Young and Kwon Sang Woo started dating... they announced a wedding date recently and it looks like everything is going as planned.

I, personally, don't care... I'm not always up to date on the personal lives of Korean celebs, unless it's really big news or something. If they are happy, I wish all the best for them! Undeniably, though, they are one attractive pair. :)

It's basically a korean version of robin hood. Setting is in the Josun Dynasty, and Lee Joon Ki plays a hero who helps the poor.........but he's also trying to find out who killed his father (which is shown in the first episode that it was the King-the brother of his father). It has some nice action scenes + love story...... etc.
Iljimae is currently airing in Hawaii. I LOVE IT! One of the best "historical" dramas I've watched -- it's just perfect, the characters, the humor, the plot. I love Yong & Eun-chae.

I, for some reason, just do not find Lee Joon Ki attractive-- I think it's because he looks too girly/feminine. He's not unattractive, but I don't find myself drawn to him like a lot of other girls are. I never finished Il Ji Mae... It is a very good drama, but I have a tendency to skip a few episodes or just never finish dramas overall. I usually download the episodes after they air, but then there are so many other shows I watch regularly (especially variety and game shows) that I just don't have time for them all! I have the entire drama on my computer, keep telling myself I'll finish watching it! lol

Not a drama, but anyone else watching "We Got Married?" It's sort of a "reality" show where the PD pairs up celebrities and film them as though they are in an arranged marriage. The show stars Alex/Shin-ae, CrownJ/Seo In-Young, Andy/Solbi, and Hyun-Joong/Hwang Bo... it is hilarious, romantic, and overall quite entertaining

I don't like Lee Joon Ki either. He looks so girly and I don't get why he's so popular.

TV Dramas Gear Up for Post-Olympics Race

The Beijing Olympic Games will end Sunday, so what is worth seeing after the Olympic flame goes out? For TV fans, major networks are gearing up for a competition with their most anticipated dramas.

MBC will start the race off with "East of Eden'' Monday. The drama has made headlines with its star-studded cast even before shooting, with big names like Song Seung-heon, Yeon Jung-hoon, Lee Da-hae and Han Ji-Hye and veteran actors Yoo Dong-kun and Lee Mi-sook.

The drama is the first for Song and Yeon since they got out of the Army.

The 50-part series cost 25 billion won and tells of the brothers Dong-chul (Song) and Dong-wook (Yeon). Their fates diverge after the murder of their coal miner father, with one joining the mob and the other becoming a successful lawyer.

Next is "Beethoven Virus,'' a treat for classical music lovers. The drama depicts the world of musicians, from a charismatic conductor to a stubborn trumpet player and a pretty violinist. The first drama to feature an orchestra, "Beethoven Virus'' will be a treat for the eyes and ears.

Starring actors Kim Myung-min, E Ji-ah and Jang Keun-suk, the drama will start Sept. 10.

SBS next month will offer "Garden of the Wind (working title),'' with popular actress Moon Geun-young to play Joseon Kingdom (1392-1910) artist Shin Yoon-bok. Based on the novel of the same name, the drama will take viewers on a mysterious journey with Shin and fellow artist Kim Hong-do, played by Park Shin-yang. Shin is an ill-fated girl who must live as a man to find how her father died.

History tells little of the famed artist Shin, unlike counterpart Kim who worked in the royal gallery and left many famous works. This makes Shin's story more intriguing, as writers and producers of the drama searched for even the smallest details and documents about the mysterious artist.

Also coming next month from SBS is "Tazza,'' starring Jang Hyuk, Kim Min-jun and Han Ye-seul. Based on the successful movie of the same title, the drama will focus on the competition between two ambitious gamblers.

Before SBS announced the cast, a small incident occurred between actresses Sung Hyun-ah and Kang Sung-yeon, both of whom thought they would play the seductive yet charming Madame Jeong. To Sung's disappointment, Kang got the part.

KBS will premiere Sept. 10 the historical drama "The Land of the Wind,'' featuring Song Il-kook's return to TV as King Daemushin of the Goguryeo Kingdom (37 B.C.-A.D. 668). The cast and production team recently returned from China after spending more than 40 days filming battle scenes.

The drama is also based on the popular historical cartoon by Kim Jin. ''Land of the Wind'' will also be Song's third historical drama, following "Jumong ― Prince of Legend (2006)'' and "Haeshin ― Emperor of the Sea (2004).

I LOVE we got married!!! It's the most hilarious show ever... I watched all the episodes so far.... i'm waiting for this week's episode (i rent it on video).

I don't have anything against Hwang Bo but i wished that they would have chosen someone else more interesting, i feel like she's too old for Hyun Joong.

I wouldn't say he's so popular just because a lot of girls love his looks, but he is an AMAZING actor (or so I have seen by watching his drama), so I definitely feel he deserves the praise!

Ah, of course, I've only seen Il Ji Mae, so I don't know how good he is in other projects yet.

I'm going to miss watching Korean drama when I'm in college!

^ He received notable praise for the King and the Clown (2005, i think), and it was a huge box office hit at the time... shortly after that, he had a supporting role in the tv drama, My Girl... his career really just took off since then. It does seem like a lot of girls are in love with him, though. I think Joon-Ki is due for mandatory military service soon... it seems like he's pushing it as far back as he can.
