i came across this thread last summer and asked my friend about korean soaps....she started buying them awhile ago since she couldn't download them...to make a long story short, she lent me about 10 sets for the summer since i'm off from work and NOW i'm.........
TOTALLY ADDICTED!! i watched 12 hours straight (Lovers in Paris) yesterday and now i'm glued to the TV again  i wanna laugh and cry all at the same time

^ LOL... my sister is exactly like you! she'll borrow my dvd sets and watch for hours straight... one time she stayed up till 4 am just to finish a drama. i used to be an avid collector, but since i would only buy the official licensed versions (either USA or Korean versions), it got to be a rather expensive hobby. if you liked Lovers in Paris, you might also enjoy watching Lovers in Prague (starring Jeon Do Yeon and Kim Joo Hyuk-- they are super talented film stars, so it was nice to see them paired up on tv for a change) and Lovers (Kim Jung Eun and Lee Seo Jin, who are now a real-life couple)... my favorite of this trilogy is the first one in Paris.
i used to download HQ episodes of various dramas and variety shows from clubbox for awhile... but not so much anymore because i don't have the time to watch all these shows. i'm also very thankful for youtube, everything is uploaded there! |

Is anyone watching "IL JI MAE" starring Lee Joon Ki? I love this new drama!
 It's basically a korean version of robin hood. Setting is in the Josun Dynasty, and Lee Joon Ki plays a hero who helps the poor.........but he's also trying to find out who killed his father (which is shown in the first episode that it was the King-the brother of his father). It has some nice action scenes + love story...... etc. |

 Anyway, so I'm normal  I also prefer DVD marathon and I won't stop until its over. Sometimes I skip the next episode preview so that I can stop for a while and rest.I've alseo seen Lovers,

I got hooked on Korean dramas a couple years ago. I've seen Full House (LOVED it), Air City, Love Truly. I've also seen the movies: My Sassy Girl, My Wife is a Gangster. I'm soooo sad that they got rid of the AZN channel - they used to have a bunch of the Korean dramas but they shut that channel down. Anyone know of a good place that sells box sets on-line? Good quality?

^^ well, poor girl has received a lot of grief from fans (and anti-fans, i guess). a lot of people seem to think she's "not good enough." and yes, she's had some well-publicized drama with previous relationships, but all is in the past. as far as i know, the wedding is still on! i only wish the best for them both, regardless.
also.... as far as Korean celebs go, as long as Sung Si Kyung, Kang Dong Won, Jang Dong Gun, or Hyun Bin are not taken yet, I'm happy... hehehe. Well, i think Hyun Bin is still dating actress, Hwang Ji Hyun, though... don't remember if they're still an item or not? |

^ I can understand why they wanted to keep it a secret until the actual date, especially since she was scrutinized continuously for a relationship that had ended long time ago. Imagine what ksw fans would say or do if they found at from the beginning.... it would be an ongoing battle between tabloids.
