The Original Recipe 1970-whatever Exorcist is the only horror movie that has actually made me jump! It did when I first watched it, and a few years ago, I watched it again, and it still made me jump. It is, in my opinion, the only Truly Scary Movie ever made.

I love Horror Movies. but my problem is I've watched so many of them that I'm like numb to how scary some of the movies are.

The Shining was pretty scary for me as I watched it when I was pretty young and some of the scenes just remain stuck onto my head. Chucky was real scary for me too(when i was younger) but now that I watch it again, I don't find it scary at all.

I enjoy horror movies. My favorites are usually Asian horror movies. I find them so much scarier/more disturbing (in a good way!) than American horror movies most of the time.

I LOVE horror movies. My favorite are probably the Evil Dead trilogy...but really, there are too many for me to name at the moment.

I am a longtime fan of Run Run Shaw and his brothers, there is one of theirs, from about 30 years ago, I wish I could remember the name, it had these great scenes of worms under peoples' skins, about 900% better done than anything coming out of Hollywood, actually better than Hollywood does now.

It was so good that I don't remember anything else about the movie to identify it, I was just so awestruck by the genius of those worms!

I like horror movies. I agree with rubijuls, I think Asian horror films are scarier and more disturbing. I really like Shutter the Thai version. Even its movie trailer scared the crap out of me.

"The Hitcher" really wasn't that scary & was really predictable, but it didn't stop me from screaming & covering my eyes up while my boyfriend cackled at me.

I hatedhatedhatedhated "The Hills Have Eyes" 1 & 2. Ughhh -- it just creeped me out more than necessary... my boyfriend was the one who forced me to watch it. Figures.

Anybody remember when the first Hills Have Eyes came out, and Wes Craven was so totally edgy, outsidery that he was actually considered cool?

Kind of like when Eraserhead came out and David Lynch was viewed by the mainstream as this avant-garde weird person, and were just bewildered by the movie.

Then they both got 2Legit2Kwit and started making big budget glamorous mainstream movies, with all the things that had ever caused people to gasp what geniuses they were dumbed down and focus-grouped and run through the suit machine...
