I am hooked on this show! I don't really get into a lot of shows, but this one is addicting.

Love this show, did not watch from the beginning but watched a marathon this weekend and got caught up. Do you think Sgt Brody is turning? The red carpet garage worship freaked me out, with his Arabic recitations, but then shooting the deer in front of his kid? Could be PTSD, or could be turning. (the rebellion of doing this, knowing that you are a dad, in a precarious situation) This show is very exciting.

It was interesting when the Sgt ran into Claire Daines' character at the end. He was flirtatious. Since she had been to Baghdad, it seemed like he immediately felt like he could relate and talk to her. I wonder how she's going to continue seeing him...and when the guy that's supposed to tail her from work sees what's going on and it gets back to her boss, she'll be in big trouble.

And the one guy living in the house by the airport, that's a weird sitch. I wonder what he's gonna do.

It got renewed for a second season.

I tried watching the pilot the other day but couldn't get into it. I'll try another night, though, because I do like Morena Baccarin

I think they showed that scene of her changing because she went out and met the guy for drinks. I think they are going with she lives two lives (maybe picking up random guys just for fun/sex type thing). If you also noticed the scene where she was getting ready for the brief when they had found the soldier, she came home, cleaned up from the night before and left out.
Claire Danes' character is bipolar. It's not that she lives two lives but it's easy for her to get impulsive, think rapid thoughts, make connections very quickly without really pausing to interpret it. I really really love her character and I think her mental illness adds a layer of depth and reality to her persona. Sexual promiscuity is a trait of bipolar disorder (I think has to do with the impulsiveness). She's already been shown to go out late at night, ridiculously tried to make a move on Saul.

Really? I don't like him at all. I'm sooo down with the idea of bringing him down if he is playing the hero card and is turned.

This show is definitely a favorite of mine this season. I'm so glad there's already a deal for season 2 next spring!!

LOL when the wife came on screen, all I could think about was "ohh bet the people on tPF are gonna be happy about the hair!" seeing as there were all those comments about it!

Still really hooked on this show.

The torture scene with the loud music and the prison guard definitely freaked me out. The episodes have me on the edge!! There's a lot of tension. I just cannot believe Brody was allowed to see his torturer. Pretty sure he passed him the blade. It's so infuriating!!

My question is it seems like Brody did give his ex-guard the blade but why? In his flashbacks and him talking, he hated his guard but did he give him the blade because he knew he would kill himself or was it to cover up whatever is going on?

And I think Brody and Claire's character will have something going on in the future. I dont know if it will be to get more information with what the CIA is doing or is Brody there because he feels Claire's character can relate?

Love this show!!!
Funny, the guy who plays Brody is British..he has the American accent nailed.

Anyone get the feeling that Saul might be in on all this?

I'm probably off base, but I'm not trusting him for some reason..

Yeah, Saul was showing the prisoner a lot of adoration... And he seemed pretty crushed he died. I took it to mean he was just disturbed by the death and suicide but there is definitely room for something to go bad there!!

Also..Saul could've slipped him the blade.
Saul speaks Arabic, his wife maybe Muslim(this hasn't been established),
he's been stationed all over the world, according to what his wife said when she told him she was leaving him..meaning he could be connecting with these terrorist in different parts of the world.
also, wasn't he a POW early in his career?

All I see from Brody is he has converted to Muslim, and appears to have
post traumatic war syndrome..

Again, I'm probably off base..but I can't help think there's some sort of twist coming up..

After this past episode I am actually starting to suspect Saul of foul play. And the thought did cross my mind that Brody has not actually DONE anything bad at all... Not that we've seen anyway. Maybe yeah, religion is something that kept him alive while he was a POW. And Saul before always had Claire Danes' character's back and now not so much.

Ahhh cannot wait to see what happens.

I don't think we know for sure if Brody gave the guard a blade. We don't know if he still hates the guard. He hated everyone when he was first taken prisoner, but we don't know if he grew to be sympathetic to their cause and eventually turned. He obviously hated the guard and all his captors in the beginning, but he might have grown close with them over the course of that eight years. I can't wait to find out.

I'm SO glad the wife cut her hair. I also really like Claire Daines character. I like how impulsive she is, even when it's to her own detriment. The mental illness makes her character more complicated.

With Saul, it's really hard to tell whether he's turned or not. He speaks Arabic, but so do lots of CIA operatives...most know languages fluently to do their jobs. His wife is Indian, which would make me think that she's not Muslim, but that doesn't necessarily mean she's not since there are tons of Muslims in India (and even if she is, it might not mean anything)...it's getting interesting. I have a feeling Saul isn't in on anything...he just seems more worldly because of his travels with the job.
