I am curious to see what will happen with Nate and whether or not he will go to USC or whether he will even go to college at all.

This is true, but its not real life and I guess if we're gonna accept stretching of any sort, it can be on GG! lolll. Alot can change in their fictional year, I think the writers will do anything to keep the format, and location, as similar as possible to the original premise. Very few high school shows worked when dramatically reformated for college.. if it was me I'd do it like this:
Chuck can be set on starting a business in Manhattan and he can convince Nate to skip college and join him in his venture because it seems promising. Serena and her mom can somehow end up screwed out of Bass' millions and be left with nothing... Serena can go to local community college. (Loll this I'd love to see actually.) Blair can find that the fashion talent runs in the family and go to fashion school downtown. Dan can actually go away to some really awesome Ivy League school after a dramatic parting with Serena, but after a few episodes he can't take it anymore and has to come back to see her. While there something *dramatic* can happen (cant think of anything at the mo. haha) to Jenny and/ or Rufus, and Dan has to say in NY indefinitely.
Ok applause if you actually read all my BSing.
