^^^ I agree...I think his name was Al? I would totally would have liked him to have lived rather than Janis. His death was so sad...but atleast now the future isnt set in stone for all the characters, which will make the show even more interesting, but just as complicated.

Thank You!! I've been trying to place him! The accent threw me off. No, you're not alone I loved Swingtown too. They replay it on Universal Channel sometimes and Threshhold too!

It will be interesting to see if they start a whole new tact with the story line i.e. the future can change depending upon certain random actions. Up to no, everyone assumed that what they saw in the FF was karma, i.e. it had to happen. The guy jumping off the building was certainly not in the FF. The solider girl coming back may mean that with a random action by someone else, she never died. The father will still have the same FF with her lying wounded. It was rather chilling to see the guy jump and die. Did not expect that at all.

The other thing that is too much for me is how all these people who did not have a FF, and become hopeless and depressed over it, sink into weird and abnormal behavior patterns. Really... S&M? Where did that come from?

I could totally see the hopelessness of the people who didn't have a FF but yeah the deviant behavior seems a little out there. Definitely seems to have a string theory/quantum mechanics bend. Multiverse, copenhagen interpretation(schrodinger's cat), quantum evolution thing happening. Maybe all the Brits are from CERN?!

It was her children that he did it for. He could not live with the thought that they would be orphans. In his FF he asked what would happen to the boys and he was told they would go to foster care. There did not appear to be a father around to take care of them.

You mean like many alternate universes with alternative life/time lines that can be interchangeable? The guy that kills himself exchanges his death for a time line where the woman with the two boys can live. I have this image of two lines crossing over each other and then swinging out again and coming back in again, over and over again.

i think it was his extreme guilt that caused him to commit suicide. and it seems like they hinted at the fact that he was all alone, it's not like he'd leave a wife or gf or kids. maybe that was part of it too

Me too, I really could have done without all of that. It was over the top.

I suppose they are trying to show that when a person feels that they have no future, their attitude towards societal do's and don'ts change and the inner urges that have been suppressed come to the fore. Still think it is weird. Even if I was told I had until March 15th to live, I don't think I would go running out to a S&M club and let people hang me and beat me! I might go out and tour the world, eat at all the 5* restaurants and max out my CC

I can see how a select few people would want to d crazy stuff... its an excuse, right? lol..

To me though, the number one reaction I would bet on for MOST ppl without flashforwards would be DENIAL, no matter what. Humans are brilliant at it. Yet All these people are like okay, yeah, I'm gonna die, fine, effff everything else?? I dunno.... though they didn't say how large this blue hand society is... it might be only the handful of people that aren't in denial.

Yes, it is interesting how easily these people are accepting their demise. Perhaps it is that all the other people are so convincing with their FF stories.
