I watched this and kinda liked it. Thought that John Legend's duet "Tonight, The Best You Ever Had" was crazy sexy and romantic. I watched it over and over again! I also liked Jennifer's duet with the guy with the high voice ala the lead singer of Rascal Flatts. Based on last night's episode, I think I will add it to my DVR list.
I don't know a lot about Robin or John, though I've heard of them, of course. Robin was very funny. I thought the duets were all great, but I'm rooting for my girl, Kelly. How did her 2 singers both end up on the bottom?!
I'm also rooting for Kelly. I suspect she was the most generous in terms of scoring, so when her numbers were taken out of the equation for her own singers, their scores were lower.
I totally forgot the show was on last night, so we only caught the last hour. From what I saw, I liked it. Kelly is just so awesome. I've never heard anyone utter a bad word about her. A lot of celebrities try to pull off the whole "I'm just like you" act (for instance, Miss Jenny from the Block), but I really buy it from Kelly. She's a genuine, sweet girl.
I didn't even make it through the whole episode. I really like Kelly Clarkson so that's mostly why I tuned in but I am not sure I will be watching anymore. Overall it just bored me, although I did like the first four singers that I saw and thought they all did a great job.
I've tried to watch it the last two weeks and ended up changing the channel after about 20 minutes. I think the idea is good, but the execution is kinda bad -- it would have made more sense to have the contestants rotate between celebrities each week, and who decides who goes home? The show's not live, so there's obviously no audience participation, which is why most people tune into reality shows -- to have a say in the results
