Well that was disappointing. Did you guys check out the new Dexter previews on Showtime for this Sunday's episode? In the past every time I've checked these out I could hardly wait for the next episode, I would lose my mind with excitement.

But sadly, these did absolutely nothing for me. Didn't give me that feeling of excitement for the start of the season at all. I hope the first episode and entire season are more exciting than these clips.

I watched it. Still beside myself with excitement. Just the sight of Dexter and hearing his new inner thoughts are such treats, even when he's commenting on the mundane. My only regrets are 1. the loss of that killer apartment he had by the water (don't care for the clutter hell of his new domesticity, and I can imagine it's hell for him too), and 2. Rita. I don't think anyone cares for Rita.

Watched the marriage proprosal episode from season 3 last night. It was so brilliant. The dark expression on Dex's face when he's watching and confronting the pedophile is priceless. And how he pieced together the marriage proposal from the ramblings of the delusional murderous girl was also priceless. Aaaaaaaaah, how I love this show.

I think he kept his apartment, didn't he?? I thought he talked about still needing/wanting somewhere where he could have his space. And where else is he gonna keep his slides!

I'm still excited about it too, but was a bit disappointed in the previews. There is so much crap on TV these days, that Dexter is still a shining light by all counts.

It's funny how much most of us hate what Rita has become. You know the titles of the books - Dearly Devoted Dexter, Dearly Departed Dexter, etc? Well many of us are worried that it may turn into Dearly Domesticated Dexter. I really hope the emphasis for Season 4 isn't on watching him change diapers.

I just bought the books as well. As soon as I'm finished with another series I'll get started on Dexter.

LOL to the "Dearly Domesticated Dexter".

I found the newly empowered Rita annoying too. I thought that Dexter would have to kill her when she started nagging.

I hope I'm wrong about the apartment. He did mention keeping it or subletting it, but was met with massive scrunched faces from Deb and Rita ("who gets married and keeps their bachelor apartment, blablablabl?").

I won't mind watching him change diapers so long as he has that brilliant look of boredom/annoyance/torture on his face and we're meanwhile privy to his screamingly hilarious anti-social thoughts.

I didn't like Rita first season, but neither did I anticipate that she was going to stick around and bear his child, tear him from his bachelor life and whine and nag him to death all the way. I thought she was some harmless filler, not a permanent fixture. I'll hold on to hopes that she'll be one of a trinity this season.

I'm meh on the previews too. But still excited for the season to start. Can't wait to find out where he keeps his slides now. As I can't imagine he would leave them at the apartment after he promised Deb she could move in.

I'd kinda like for the show to follow the books, just a little, (but only when it comes to the kids...but perhaps that's a little too creepy for tv?). Otherwise, I love where the show is going. I actually like Rita, but then I am a Buffy and Angel fan so Julie Benz rocks my world. I'm hoping for her to find out about Dexter or somehow have known all along.

My one hope is that Dexter doesn't end up all bumbling because he can't concentrate. Agree though, love his inner thoughts! This show is so well written.

Dexter is one serial killer I never want to get caught.

That sounds so terrible!

I can't wait for the 4th season either.
Just watched the trailer & am also hoping it wont all be about how he can't handle this new life of fatherhood and being a husband... but it may lead to a more suspensful season, as there will be more chances for him to get caught. Since he'll have so many other things on his mind.

My only issue is that I don't have Showtime. So I'll have to find it on the interwebz somewhere lol.

I'm worse. I don't even want him to stop killing or to lose his desire to. How messed up is that?

Hah! Saw a link to this site on the True Blood thread, and it looks like there is a Dexter-inspired line of jewelry as well.

The TB jewerly captures the show better than the Dexter ones, IMO. I'm actually annoyed by the suggestion that Dexter is two-faced.

I even wanted Rudy to stick around. What's up with that?

Hi, my name is Kay, and I am a Dexter addict. I love this show. I've been watching for two years, and I watched it regularly on Showtime OD. Yes, I watch the same shows over and over.

I can't wait for the new season.

Do you think that since this show started that anyone has become a "Dexter?" A copycat???

Deco, we are fellow Dexter lovers.

Let's speak some simple truths about Dexter. I'll go first.

1. Dexter saves money for all taxpayers.

2. The court system is less crowded.

3. Prisons are less crowded because serial killers are being eliminated w/o the fuss and muss of trials.

Some other Dexter truths - anyone else?
