TANO INSOMNIAC!!!!!

Default Visited Candyland!! 25 Tanos in Stock and I am Faint!!

Well Tano fans, I took a trip to Candyland today!! I found a Tano seller about an hour from my house, so I hopped in the car this morning to check it out. Wow, my head is still spinning. There were probably close to 25 bags!!!!!!!!! I was scribbling down the numbers as quickly as I could, so if I got any wrong, please forgive me. Here is what they carried:

3018 Depeche
3519 Comic Effect
3603 Mona Lethal
3616 Petit Larceny
3651 Butane Jane
3674 Goody Bar
3721 French Nanny
3753 Flap Jack
3777 Pavlov’s Frog
3778 Lip Sync
3843 Nicky Teen
3859 Britney’s Fears
3968 Against the grain
4015 Getting Warmer
4066 Up Close and Personal
9897 Boogie

I got to see most of the fall colors: truffle, raspberry, pomegranate, grape, pineapple and avocado. I was hoping they’d have a Street Walker, but they didn’t. Nor did they have any Minilisa or Sexbomb, which was surprising. The salesclerks thought I was nuts naming all these bags – they only know them from the numbers, unlike we fanatics!

This store was in Peddler’s Village in Lahaksa, about an hour from Philly, so if you live in north/southeast PA, it’s definitely worth the drive (there’s also a store in the King of Prussia Mall but I haven’t been there YET). The prices were about the same as online, but I would have to pay tax, so if you can believe it, I left WITH NOTHING!! Talk about willpower! Now I will sit here and stare at them on TOB, MHB and LB for the next couple of weeks til I decide what to do. Even though the grape and raspberry are gorgeous, I can't justify spending the money on bags that just wouldn't get much use, but I am thinking about a trufffle or pomegranate....what a FUN MORNING!! We should coordinate a field trip!!

Wow, that sounds like as much fun as I had in Atlanta last weekend. I can't believe you left without anything! What willpower!! Did you see anything like the bag I can't find the name of (and stupidly didn't write the number down) that folded over the top a couple of inches and had magnets that closed that part but the top closed with a zipper I think, and the handles were handheld. It had no contrasting trim and was a smaller bag. I wish I had bought one of those. They had blueberry, pomegranate and black.

oh, I forgot they also had 3995, Flashbulb Flurry! That and the Getting Warmer both have these large silver buttons, almost look like knobs, that are quite big and I think take away from the bag. They just beg to get scratched, they stick out that far!

OMG that sounds delightful!!!!!!!!!!! I would love to go on a field trip but I live nowhere near PA! lol If I'm ever in the area I will look them up though... very, very cool! I find that the Francesca's by me doesn't know the Tano bags well either... it's just another brand they stock and nothing special to them. Weirdos, I know! lol

there was also a Vixen VGG in black with brown trim that was so nice, but the strap didn't stay on my shoulder...I gave that one some serious thought, since the Vixen is hard to find anymore!

I agree with you about the Getting Warmer. The Hardware on the Getting Warmer and the Flashbulb Flurry are too much for me and take away from the bag. For this reason I sent my Getting Warmer Back - the two big knobs in the front and on the side of the bag bothered me. I prefer simple hardware.

Wow how great was that?!?! I still have yet to find any Tano carriers in my area. I had a friend who lives an hour away who was supposed to check on some locations for me in her area but she's such a procrastinator!

Wow, you are so thorough! I was too excited to actually write anything down when I stumbled on Tanos here in Portland. Still think the salesgirl thought I was a nutter, though.

You're so lucky. I still haven't seen any IRL. There aren't any stores that close to me. I'm on the west coast of Florida with no stores. There some stores on the east coast. I'm planning a trip in September to visit friends and will definitely make a trip to visit some Tanos. I'm so looking forward to seeing all of the fun colors up close and personal.

Yay, how fun for you!!! When I've been in stores that carry Tano, I feel like I'm meeting a celebrity. "OOOh, there's a Minilisa! In person!! OMG, there's a French Nanny!!!" LOL. That's pretty sad. :)

If you're in the panhandle there's a store called Private Gallery in Destin that carries Tano.
