So as you can see today I received my preorder of one of the new Fall bags. I decided to go with the Sound Track since by looking at the sample photos it looked like Tano was trying a new leather outside their usual Lux. I now have two in such a leather and I figured the Sound Track, although only appearing to be made in sugar brown and black, wouldn't be a bad choice.

I wasn't wrong! Here she is unwrapped out of the plastic and upright.

First off let me say that I could smell the leather as I began to unwrap the bag. That to me in a great indicator in my book! The bag itself is lightweight and the texture feels great. It isn't smooth and shiny like the Lux is, instead it is a sturdy matte finish and has around the same thickness quality as the Lux. The rolled handles feel great in the hand and the way they slide up and down depending on how you wear the bag is a nice touch.

The interior of the bag is standard fare Tano: similar colored lining with one zipper pocket and two full-leather slip ins. What I love about the bottom is that it is NOT flat, it actually has a stitched in rounded base so that when it is filled it (presumably) slumps in place and not topple over.

This is part of the thin crossbody strap and only strap the bag comes with. The black spots you're seeing looks to me to be the coating they added to the edges of all the leather handles, something different to the other Lux bags I own that has the rough edges. The top and underside of the strap are the same texture, something I appreciate. I do not mind the spots! It adds character to the leather IMO and just how it was made.

A glimpse of the gunmetal hardware. All of the clasps, zipper parts and loops look like this and it really looks nice overall. The hardware works just fine; no snags or difficulty working the top of the bag. Adjusting the strap is no problem. The strap clasps are sturdy and are not weak in closing themselves.

OVERALL: A really great fall bag that can go with anything. The leather feels great, construction is solid and what originally had me concerned with its size was just not an issue with this bag. The width of it is perfect for someone of my body type. No size or length issues are with this one.

I will post more photos once I have treated it with water/stain repellent and let it dry. I'll put my stuff inside it and do a few shots of me wearing it as well :)

Finally got around to doing these pics yesterday! Just after I received this bag I caught a great deal on eBay for an older-style Lockheart and I snatched it up and ever since I've been alternating between that bag and my beloved leather Cynthia Rowley (as featured in my icon).

With my stuff inside and sitting pretty in my chair in natural light. A nice medium brown color.

Crossbody side view! As you can see it really slouches, which I love. Strap is comfy, although it tends to twist a lot when I try to carry it and throw it over my head.

On the shoulder, same strap length. REALLY hanging low and slouchy, lol. That's another thing I love about Tanos, they give such great length to their shoulder/crossbody straps which can add all kinds of versatility to a bag.

Ooo...some day I would love to hear about your thoughts on your lockheart bag!

Great modeling shots too, btw! Bag looks great on you!

Thanks! :)
I think it's great to find fellow Lockheart fans; I have at least six of those bags! The one a nabbed from eBay is a San Jada Barghello bag in brown. A very large satchel bag with a lovely woven strap detail. The leather is lovely and very substantial, as always with Lockheart. It really is unfortunate that they went out of business :(

It's such a nice, warm brown. Is that the sable color?

It's actually called Brown Sugar. I believe the Sable is much darker and actually comes only in the Lux leather. The leather of the Sound Track bag is called bourbon.
