Anyone know if Touch of Sass is a reputable e-tailer? They are selling Tano items that never went into production, eg. "Green LRC".
TY

^^^Touch of Sass is located in my city of Austin and they are fabulous! They basically only sell Tano handbags and some jewelry that I saw last time I was in. I've never bought from them online but I bought my first Tano (Apricot Boogie) there in store and they are wonderful. I would just call or email ahead of time and make sure they have whatever style you're looking for available to buy online. The owner's name is Currie and she's super nice!

^^^No problemo! I Austin too. I'm originally from Arkansas where Tano is EVERYWHERE but luckily Texas has lots of Tano options too. BTW, I LOVE San Antonio...it's my family's favorite place to visit when they're here!

^^Arkansas is Tano crazy, no doubt. Apparently there's a chain down there called Mason's that sells Tano bags like gangbusters. Have you been there?

Whew, I've been super busy lately and am just now checking in on my Tano Sub-Forum in what seems like a reeeaaalllly long time!

Anyhow, yes I have ABSOLUTELY been to Mason's! Actually, they now have their online site up and going (shopmasons.com)--I've never purchased online from them but they are definitely the "go-to" place for Tanos in the Northwest Arkansas area. I went to school at the UofA and you could literally walk on campus at any given time and see about 6 Tanos...it's crazy! Voodoo I totally agree, it is a little weird that it is so huge there...but man oh man, if any of you ladies head to good ole' Arkansas you'll be in Tano heaven! What's even more weird is that Coach seems to be so big here in TX and not so much anywhere in Arkansas. I guess it's because Tano is really mostly sold in smaller boutiques which are everywhere there. Add the fact that AR doesn't have any major department stores besides Dillards and you'll see why most women/girls shop in trendy boutiques--that's all they've got!

Anyhoo, Mason's is pretty top notch for a B&M store that consistently seems to have a good stock of Tanos for anyone that happens to be in the area

So I thought I would share an online order experience with you at TygerKitty's suggestion. I hesitated to post this and you will see why - so please read on..

I purchased a pom sexbomb and chicklit from www.soleandblues.com. This was my first ever Tano purchase and I was shopping for a discounted price. I came across said website who was offering a holiday discount of 10% off $208 for the sexbomb and $90 for the wallet. After I placed the order, the charge hit my credit card almost immediately, but I received no confirmation email for the sale. I called the 800 number several times and couldn't reach anyone. Voicemail box was full. I finally resorted to sending a fax. Still no answer. So I found a link to send an email on their website. I expressed my concerns. Almost immediately, I received a customer service phone call. The SA explained that a confirmation email supposedly was sent. I explained that I never received it. Giving them the benefit of the doubt, she sent me another email with the UPS confirmation. I got that one without any problems.

The reason why I said that I will not be shopping from them again is because of the way they packaged the merchandise. I received the box as scheduled - no problems there. But when I opened the box, the sexbomb and wallet were literally shoved into the box. The bag was folded over - no protective tissue wrapped around it and carelessly thrown into the box. This was not a cheap purchase so I was appalled. Also, there was a nick in the leather between the two front pockets. I applied some lubriderm and it diminished the damage, but still I know it's there. I immediately emailed the vendor and reported my disappointment. The SA was very apologetic and explained that they are trying to train the "kids" who do the shipping to do a better job. I forgot to mention that she also had said that the store just opened its online service about 6 months ago - she said they're working hard to improve that part of the business. After I finally found a way to connect with this store, they were nice enough to work with. I also feel like they deserve a chance to grow their business. So I really didn't want to give them a negative rating. Having said that, I've come to feel a loyalty to my fellow tano-ites who, like me, work hard for the money to get what we pay for. I did tell the SA that I wouldn't be shopping with them again. I could have sent back the sexbomb because of the little nick to the leather, but I really didn't want to part with it.

By the way, yesterday, I received my third Tano piece from Luna Boston. The bag was carefully wrapped in tissue paper and carefully laid in the box with a personalized thank you note for my purchase. So, there is definitely room for Sole and Blues to improve.

I hope this experience is of value to you all. The Tano bags are gorgeous - I love the sexbomb, chicklit, and minilisa - but I've learned, again, that we get what we pay for - discounts aren't everything.

^^ Thanks for sharing! We don't make snap judgements about businesses on here, it is simply knowledge to be applied for the cautious shopper. We just don't want people losing out on money or product or what not. Thanks again for sharing your experience!

THANK YOU!

I appreciate your honesty and succinct descriptions regarding the customer service and the condition of your bag and wallet when they arrived.

^^^Voodoo I ordered from them several months back and got $10 off my first order of $75 or more because I signed up for their email updates (which they rarely send so they don't clog up your mail!) Maybe they still have that going on?? As for coupon codes I've never heard of any before.

^^ Yep, I got the same coupon with my email sign up; I also got a $5 coupon when I filled out a survey for them but it couldn't be used on sale stuff and it only lasted a week or something.
