Omg! Voodoo!!! That's the cutest and saddest picture EVER! I think dear Duke was happier to have your dd home than you were.

Hahaha... with a ladder!! And I don't know if I would stay in the house yet either with no window coverings and feeling over exposed. And yes big sheets on the windows would feel a little "trailer park" I guess. You will stay in the house soon enough! It's just a moment in my own life that I am really looking forward to.... the first night in my own house. I think I will finally feel a bit more grown up. (my own 2 cents)

Today has been LONG! I am having issues with my Slumlord... err Landlord... again. Without going into too many details a lawyer is involved and they just gave us an out of the lease early option. And I am feeling the whole housing thing stressing me out again, but everything happens for a reason and we will just have to find the reason in this all happening. Maybe it means our house is finally ready to find us.. of course that means that we will want to be sure we want to stay with our jobs for sometime. Of all days... today I could really use a crystal ball to see a year or two into the future. It would really be helpful for some direction.

They so do! That's why I can't understand people with the "it's just a dog" attitude.

Kitty...you are too good...NEED hardly ever plays into my purchase process...either that or my WANTS become NEEDS somehow in my thought process! LOL!
Doesn't happen often.. I'll tell you the same thing I told DH.. don't get used to it, it's not a normal thing

And sending some baby vibes your way -- best thing to do is not focus on it; seems to me it's like love, comes when you aren't looking for it.

Quick story, I know a woman who was told she couldn't concieve because of a medicine her mom took. Long story shorter... she did a lot of tests and doctor things to be absolutely sure and nothing worked. She went the adoption route since she is a nurturer and still wanted mommy-hood. Well, don't you know not 6 months after adopting her baby son... she got pregnant. She had a second daughter of her own after the first -- and is now a happy 3 kid family. It's an amazing story to me and really shows the power of anything can happen even if medical results tell you one thing, you just never know.

My DH is not the animal lover I am (he likes them, but is not fool crazy about them like I am)...and he once told me that my dogs did not love me, as they do not know what love is...ummm...yea...so I explained to him that the way they wait at the front door from the time you let them in the house until they hear my Jeep, is love. The way their eyes light up when I get on the floor with them to cuddle, is love. The way Rigby will bring me a rawhide to share or Austin just laying his head on my lap, is love...they may not know the WORD, but they know the ACTION and they don't complicate things, they just LOVE....I think he will never broach that topic again...plus now he says I have my own 4 legged fan club!

Voo...glad things are back to normal for both you and Duke...that picture was precious...

Kitty...best of luck...our last apartment was AWFUL...I was never so glad to get into our house!

LOL I actually do call him sexy pants sometimes and then he calls me suga butt haha!!!

He's pretty good... he had to take his mom back to Kansas (she isn't doing so well medically) to see her own doctors and then she went into a diabetic coma and a lot of his family isn't helping at all. Then he drove back after like nooooo sleep (grr so mad at him lol) and then he got sick the next day! Probably from running himself ragged! But, we miss each other and we're still keeping in touch even though he's sick and I'm trying to let him rest. He's a dear

Voo... that pic of Duke, omg so precious! Poor lil guy, so glad that DD is home now! I doubt he could have taken much more of it lol! And, DD will just have to go to college close to home so she can visit often lol!

^^Aww I'm sorry about Sexy Man's mom! I hope he's taking care of himself even though I'm sure it's hard.

Well, she says she wants to go to Baylor which is about an hour one way so she'd be able to come home on the weekends. hahaha Either that or we'll be moving a kid and a dog

Voo that picture is just heart-wrenching. You can totally see how upset he is!

Kitty-remember, there is a Federal first time home buyer tax credit for up to $8000. You just have to close before Dec 1, 2009 and be within the income limits. It is much better than the California one because you don't have to apply and be accepted and there isn't a cap of how many people can get it.

Tyger-Oh poor Sexy Man. Mom sounds very brittle and it sucks that family isn't helping him out. Probably better that he helps her though-it is always good to have someone around who actually cares enough to make good decisions. Flaky family members aren't a good thing when someone is sick.

Odeb-can't help you much on the baby front (my own uterus is probably shriveling as I type) but it will happen eventually. My SIL had difficulty conceiving my 2nd niece but it happened eventually, maybe not in the time frame she and my bro wanted but it happened :) Same thing with my sister, she's been trying for about a year.

HAHA I don't know but it's probably priceless for my peace of mind knowing the first place she lives alone would have the protection of the Boxer doggie. I don't think there's a mean bone in his body but to anyone else he looks like a fur covered razor blade.
