I've always been told that if there was a nuclear holocaust, cockroaches would survive. I hate cockroaches-I used to live in a college town (Davis, CA) and we had a house next to an apartment complex, full of students who probably didn't clean much and let beer and soda cans pile up on their balconies (LOL, we didn't clean much either). It wasn't uncommon to see the cockroaches cruising around on the sidewalks at night.

Anyone need a Lands End Free shipping code? I have one that has one more use on it before Nov 11.

I've already sent a plea to my homegirl TK, but I realized that I didn't know if anyone else here lives or has lived in CO!

My hubs and I are seriously considering a move to Denver, any thoughts?

My parents lived there for a long time and really really liked it. I've been there a few times to visit friends and family and I loved it

Actually I spent some time in Denver and both DH and I agree it is one of the places we could consider living...it is a gorgeous area...

That is so funny!! I have a good cockroach story--When my son was about a year old we were living in this apartment complex off a lake with a basement, now some people said they were water beatles but they were really cockroaches the size of a human hand. Seriously. Anyway, we never really had a prob till one Halloween night, we are watching TV in the living room when a "water beatle" the size of Manhattan comes charging at us. My husband grabbed some kid toy and tried to hit it and I grabbed my son and locked myself in the bedroom with a rolled up towel under the door. Cowardly, yes, after all I left DH to possibly be murdered but the thing was scary and gross! He finally beat it and sprayed a can of raid and disposed of the huge whatever it was. He found out they were coming in throught the cracks between the floors and the wall up from the basement...yuk! So he bought foaming caulk stuff and caulked the ENTIRE apartment, closets, everything. We never saw another one...and somehow we actually got our security back when we left!

Does that help or hinder your trailer park fascination?

TK -- I bet it just helps the trailer park fasciation.
Just saw that it is 48 degrees in the Bronx. I am definitely going to freeze when I head back north in two weeks.

^Well, in theory a trailer really doesn't have walls for the cockroaches to live in, breed and multiply (you're living in a tin can). So if you keep your trailer cleaned out and Bubba next door keeps his clean, cockroaches shouldn't be a problem!

Oh my, cockroaches, frogs, dead mice...ugh. Other than dogs, I'm not much for creatures!

Beeb, I've never been to Denver, but know people who live there and I've heard wonderful things. I think they have lots of snow right now, LOL...
