Ok that wine boogie bucket is TDF. I was literally drooling over all the tano's last night on musthavebag.com Uh I'm so mad at myself. I wish I was into these when I was buying bags a year ago, I would have saved myself so much grief with all my LV drama. Now that funds are low (even for these at the moment), I'm kicking myself. And nothing else is catching my eye right now, besides Coach Legacy, but I'm literally up at night now thinking about these Tano's. I've been dying for a navy blue leather bag, and not only did Tano have the exact type I was looking for, (boogie bucket) they have a slew of em. And I fell in love with all of them. (Especially the Sex Bomb)That's ok, it's temporary. But when I get back on the "bagwagon" I will definately be a TanoFreak.
I'm also loving there wallets and they are only around 60 bucks
Oh well Patience is a virtue right??? By the way where are Tano bags made?

Halzer- I wish I could tell you how they came up with the name "crunch"- but I just dont know!

Bag freak- Tano bags are made in Asia (most in India, some in China) with custom made Italian leathers.

Paintednightsky- Tano doesnt sell directly to the public, except at their warehouse sale (in MT Kisco, NY- 1 hr by train from NYC ) which is after Thanksgiving for a week or so every year.

thanks for the info. Do you know why Tano doesn't sell to the public? Is there warehouse sale even worth going to? I live in NY and probably could take a drive down but only if it's going to save me alot and there's a good selection. Otherwise I am definitely getting that wine bag online. It's TDF and beautful.

Tano doent think its nice to compete with their retail partners by selling their own bags online. A lot of companies have this policy.

Their warehouse sale is awesome, but you never know what they are going to have there. Irregulars, imperfects, samples, overstocked stuff, cancelled orders... a mish mosh of stuff. The prices are great, though! At least 50% off regular retail prices.

Is the tano boogie bucket bag a heavy bag to carry? I'm curious I like the look of the bag but I don't want to carry a heavy bag.

I don't know about the Boogie Bag in particular, but I have Miss Congeniality in crunch leather, which is also a fairly large bag, and it is not heavy at all. The leather is lightweight without being flimsy and most of the bags weigh less than an equivalent sized bag from many other designers.

Haute Mama is right, the Tano bags are lightweight by comparison to other designer bags, but not flimsy. Without stuffing, it weighs just 1.8 lbs. Haute mama's has a doubled strap and a lot more hardware, so hers is likely a bit heavier, but she still says its light, so there you go....

I guess it depends what you are comparing the weight to. I have Koobas, Hayden Harnetts and Biasias and my Tano boogie bucket is the lightest of all of them when I place it on my shoulder. Of course I did this test with nothing in the bags.
If you are planning on carrying an anvil in yours, then I guess the weight will alter slightly...

I have owned and carried two Tanos, a Shizzle and a Bow Toxic.

The crunch leather was very nice on both, aging over time and getting softer and softer.

Thanks everybody. A few months ago I purchased a lucky brand suede hobo and couldn't get over how heavy it was but I believe the hardware is what made it heavy. I noticed the boogie had a lot of hardware on it so I thought it may weigh the bag down.

Yay I got my Tano wine boogie bucket today! First tano bag. I like how it looks alot and the color is TDF. Great versatile color. The bag isn't as shiny as I thought it might be either but I do have to get used to the smell because I've never had a crunch leather type bag before. Bigger then I thought but at least it can hold alot which is a good thing. Very heavy duty looking but light. Strap however could be a little longer which is my only complaint maybe even an inch would have been better. Still love the bag overall though :)

When someone gets one of the new fall metallic bags can you post how you like it and how the suede is? I didn't want to get it if it's too thin of a suede.

When I get home, a UPS package ought to be waiting for me ...and in that package is the Goldie Shocks in pewter, along with Butane Jane...I'll post a review as soon as possible!

Ladies,

Got my Tano Vixen Van Go Go bag today in Congo Green. And I didn't love it. ;-( I am just not a fan of the Crunch leather. However, I WILL say that the craftsmanship is impeccable and the color is a perfect shade of green.

I may try out some of the Lenny leathers to see what those are like.

Tano Expert, what are your thoughts on the Lenny leather vs. Crunch?

Hmm, that is too bad. I'm thinking about a vixen van go go in the blueprint color. I also love the bag in the green and black as well.
