I can see restoring it, I just can't see calling it "excellent condition".

^You would have to totally dye it over. I don't think water stains, once they settle in like that can be taken out.

does it look like two types of leather were used? the lighter-parts look like more of a smooth-grain velvet/tag type leather, IMO. Or am I off the mark and it's an illusion because of how beat up the bag is?

I bet it was a really nice bag when it was new. Not even my most-abused leather bag looks that bad, I don't think I've ever had a bag that got that bad!!! And I've never been one to baby my handbags...

At least the seller is being honest and disclosing it all. If I knew how to sew leather, it'd make a great salvage project, right?

I'd heard of Katrina cars, but that was my first Katrina bag sighting.

Default Woah Tano abuse!!!
So I was doing one of my daily ebay checks to see what new Tano's were listed and I came across this:

http://cgi.ebay.com/TANO-TURQUOISE-M...d=p3286.c0.m14

Is there any hope for that bag? I bet she was a beauty.

Eek... I don't think there's hope for that especially because it was/is metallic looking?
