Default Question re dyeing a Tano
I have a cloud leather bag (can't remember the name right now, it's that huge gerard darel-esque bag) in white. I've never been quite happy with the shade of white and after reading everyone's success stories with Tarrago dye, I decided to attempt it. I already died a Coach wristlet and had success. But I was wondering about cleaning the bag with the Tarrago solution as per the instructions. They tell you to use one of those green scrubby things that you use for dishes and that's what I did on the Coach. I'm just worried about doing that with the Tano, the leather seems a lot more fragile than the wristlet I dyed before. What did you guys do?

Hmmm I don't think cloud leather is all that delicate... I would just follow the instructions; people have used Tarrago stuff on all sorts of different leathers on TPF!

I'm sticking to white. But I want it to be a bright white. The original color is a sort of greyish off-white, which I was not crazy about from the beginning. I kept the bag, because I love the shape and leather and some of my more fashion-forward friends thought it was a cool, interesting white. Guess I'm not really the cool, interesting type, because it just doesn't work for me.

i think the green scrubby will be fine, it's what I use. And, it's not really doing much other than buffing off the shiny bits anyway. Apply light pressure in an inconspicuous place to start off with until you see how well it does.
