I was looking at the shoes.com Saturday sale, and couldn't help but notice.
Isn't this (http://www.shoes.com/Shopping/Produc...px?p=EC1148766) a Tano Postage Tramp? And this (http://www.shoes.com/Shopping/Produc...px?p=EC1148552) is very very similar to a Front Row (notice the different rings on the front flap pockets). Is Nina Bossi ripping off the Tano designs? Or are these Tanos sold under a different imprint? Anyone know? |

This topic has been discussed numerous times in this sf. In summary, no Nino Bossi and Tano are not the same company nor are they connected.

They are not tano bags, but they are clearly "inspired by" the tano bags that you mentioned.
Enough said on this topic. Mods, shall we close this thread? :) |

Kupo, if you do a search there are other threads on this topic.
Some of the discussions have been heated ![]() The brands are not related. I don't personally own any NB bags so I can't speak on their quality or styles. If you want to know more about the NB brand you may want to post a question just regarding that brand in the "Handbags & Purses" subforum. But be sure to leave Tano out of the question or the thread will just get moved to this subforum. |

I wasn't familiar with this brand or the arguments it has caused, so I did a search, and I can't find any of the old threads about it. Weird.

Based on those pics and others I have seen I 100% prefer Tano. The NB bags seem very SIMILAR but lack something IMO.
It kind of seems like when in Steve Madden or other shoe stores you will see random copies of other designer bags. Not really a knock off, but just a copy of the look. The Tano crunch leather is so unique, I don't see how someone else could copy it exactly. The NB bags seem pretty pricey considering they are not unique being as they look so close to Tano. At least the shoe store bags usually have a lower price tag. No offense to anyone who likes Nino...but I am sticking with Tano for all my crunch needs : ) I agree with Voodoo, if you actually are interested in buying a Nino I would look for Nino owners in the general section. We all heart Tano over here, so we are a little bias! We will sell ya on a Boogie Bucket something, but ya won't find too many, if any Nino cheerleaders. |

Yes. They are inspired bags.
