^^Why not? To me the protecting spray seems to shine things up a bit and may prevent pieces from flaking off.

I've sprayed bags with it after I've already used them. In fact, I think I'm going to do that to my black sexbomb after I get back to Colorado in fact... I want it to stay glossy looking! It won't do any harm, Apple Garde is a great product! (Though, still test in a small area first!)
