I fell into instant love with the Boogie because it's so plain, yet it's chic, and not "frumpy plain", kwim? And the colors just make it even sexier.

Definitely not frumpy plain! I love the massive span of plain crunch leather on the boogie... so yummy! Just not for me

That's what i think fafnir.

The Boogie looks classy and fashionable yet not dressy iyswim.

TK you aren't the only one who has resisted the boogie monster so far haha. I like the look of it but I think I don't carry enough stuff for it that it would just end up being a black hole for me.

Well, y'all got another one today. I succumbed to Boogie Fever and nabbed myself a sleek black w/brown trim Boogie!

TK, I am normally anti-plain-bag as well, and that coupled with the black trim on the colors I liked turned me off to the boogies at first. I also wasn't a huge fan of bucket styles but the slouchy goodness of the Shopper converted me on that point. I think the plain-ness factor is what I didn't like about the black on black Boogie; it looked sleek & all but my clothes are fairly plain most of the time so I need some funk on my bag to spice me up! I'm simply not fashionable enough to pull off a plain bag!

Yep, she's a beauty! I can't wait to take her out, unfortunately I'm a bit laid up at the moment so for now I have locked myself away from the cats & set her on a chair to admire.

Also, I tried a boogie on and with my big ol' arms it's just not the most comfy thing to sling over my shoulder. I know, I know, you will all say it gets smooshier with time and yadda yadda but so do all of my bags and then they're even MORE comfy! Lastly, bucket bags aren't really my thing... they're sooooo pretty and functional but adding the extra width to my midsection isn't a very good idea for me.

Believe me, I was tempted by the congo green and the pomegranate on more than one occasion but I'll probably get the london diary in pomegranate and I will satiate my green craving with an emerald velvet leather bag.

So, now you all know my resistance to boogies. Maybe someday but I don't forsee it happening any time soon. Besides, that means more boogies for all of you!
TK - you're not alone! :) I've tried the Boogie twice, and found that it just doesn't work for me, for all of the reasons you stated, actually! I love the bag - I think it's gorgeous! - and I was very sad to part with both of them, but I had to try others in the hopes of finding the perfect one. So it's ok to be a Boogie Resistor!! We will still you!!

Haha thanks Watson's mom! I'm kind of glad I'm not totally attached to one particular style (although I love the minilisa and the shape of found at last) because when they change it's pure excitement, no disappointment!

Congratulations on your new boogie, and welcome to the boogie club! I've found the boogie is one of hte most comfortable shoulder bags I have ever worn, but I would have never known it by looking at the store. The Tano TPF ladies told stories of hanging their bags on doorknobs to break them in, and it was amazing how wonderfully my boogie got broken in. Absolutely love it. It's the perfect everyday bag. Love it!

I love my new Boogie, as you said- it's a really comfy bag- even when packed to the gills. I love it!
