Default Gerard - Reveal and Dye or Not to Dye...
I just got home from the office and there was a package waiting for me on the table!

I am about to take my pics....

And ladies...this bag...the leather feels nothing like my Voodoo...it's soft and chewy like the new caramel crunch leather and how I imagine lux will feel. I'm going to need your help deciding if I'm dying this baby or not.

Pics coming up!

Ok finally....all downloaded and ready to go...

I'm really very happy with the condition the bag is in given it's age. There is a small scratch on the bottom of the bag:

And she has some dirt (which is why light colored bags make me insane hahaha)

I so so so so miss the giant graffiti tag...

The inside of the bag is clean as a whistle and when I say this leather is soft I mean super soft.......... when I set her down on her bottom she's an absolute puddle.....

Ok so........ do I dye her or not?????????????

The bag is certainly beautiful as is.... no doubt about it......but since this is only the third Gerard I've ever even SEEN for sale since I started buying Tano's in 2007 I'm really doubting I'll ever find one in blue marine.

On the other hand... if I ruin this bag it'd be a crying shame...

You guys vote and I'll follow your advice

I'm gonna say leave it alone! I wasn't crazy about the plasticky texture of the Tarrago dye (remember when I did my sister's rasp minilisa?). I think this bag just needs a Voodoo spa treatment, and she's perfect!

I totally adore that bag! That isn't some plain old light color.. it's pearly and wonderfully contrasted with that dark brown trim and love the tassels!! Oh my goodness what a score! As much as I wanted to see you dye a bag.. I don't this is the one to dye. Couldn't imagine looking that "opalness"

Oh and it puddles like a champ! Dang!

Do you think you could ever bring yourself to carry her as she is? Maybe we can hypnotize to get you over your fear of white bags?

I wouldn't chance a dye job. It could affect the integrity of the leather.

I'd say not to dye her either. The color is just beautiful with the strap detail and what a gorgeous light summer bag! Congrats!
