Hi Susan

The black LUX bags for Fall will have brown trim as far as I know. The black/black combo was Fall 08 only. It didnt see well so Tano reverted to black/brown. If you want a solid black bag you will have to look for one without aberdeen trim (ie sex bomb in lux or other bags in other leathers)

yes. Its really not THAT different. It just feels/falls like a broken in crunch bag, and the color wont fade as much.

Went to a garage sale and bought a Tano purse for a dollar. The Navy blue colored label inside says "TANO New York", but when I got home I also found a tag that says, "Made in India". (oops!) It's solid black, leather-like, but I am not even sure it is leather. A bit stiff, I think. The top part of the interior and underside of the handles are a cream color. The rest of the interior is black fabric. No other hang tags. etc with the TANO name on it. I'm going to assume this is a replica of some sort. I have seen some designer bags that I would have sworn were fakes, made of this same "leather" so I figured it was worth a buck to find out. I am just learning and new to this stuff. Thanks for your help. Rose Mary

Hi ROPO. If you can post, email or PM me some pics of your bag I might be able to identify it for you. Tano has been making bags with many different tags inside for the past 80 years. The "TANO NEW YORK" tags were used in the 1990's. Frankly I would be surprised if its not leather since Tano bags are rarely not (of course there are some exceptions.)

1. Immeasurable for fall: This season it's crunch...in the fall is it Lux?

2. Edgy Out There: Which of the new leathers is it made from?

3. Second Skin: Which of the new leathers is it made from?

The crunch leather will be replaced with LUX for Fall. Pre Fall is still crunch. Honestly I cant predict how much different lux will be from crunch in production but its supposed to hold its color better and be softer from the get-go, like a broken in crunch bag.

Therefore Immeasurable and all the others that are currently crunch will go to lux for Fall.

Edgy out there is BELLO leather. Second skin is NEBULA.

I'm not sure if you can answer these questions since Fall bags are not out yet, but here goes:

I really want something in the Garnet color, so that's what I'm looking for. Can you explain the differences in 4389 - Baggy Bartender, 4414 - Rock Chick, and 4417 - All in One (they all look quite similar).

If you can't answer these questions, can I contact Tano directly or is it too soon for that since we don't even know if these will be in production or not?

They are indeed similar top zip hobos in lux leather- the side detailing and straps vary a bit, as does the construction. Prices are similar (around $199 retail for rock chic & baggy bartender, $219 for all in one.) All three of these bags seem to be boogie/nanny/wu hybrids.

Hi TE! can you tell me anything about Tempest-uous (4221) for Pre-Fall? Dimensions/size comparisons/when it might become available to retailers?

Also, I noticed the dimensions for Dangerous Indeed on the MHB website are currently still all xx's. Could you tell me those dimensions as well?
