Hey beeb, I think there are pics of all my Tanos except my black Boogie in the pics threads. I will try and take one soon but it's so hard to get them all out and put them away (yes, I'm lazy!!).

TE, one more question, if I wait to get another grape crunch until the Fall2 will it be almost impossible?

I am very surprised that my favorite bag to carry, how it works etc out of my 18 Tanos is my Kitty Crowbar. I wondered if this bag was ever made in another leather or another name?
Ive never seen/heard of kitty crowbar being made in another leather. That bag was only offerred in Fall 2007 in crunch as far as I know.

When you get a chance.... how are you feeling about the sable velvet leather? Is it a nice deep chocolate brown or light or blah/great? How is its tone in comparison to fudgesicle or truffle just so I can get an idea as to how dark it is? TIA!
Sable isn't a chocolate-y brown brown like fudgesickle or truffle- its more of a tan/whisky/cognac/caramel. Its a great neutral if you like that sort of color. My favorite in the velvet leather so far is the ruby. Im hoping that the emerald will also be great.

Is the mink a nice deep brown, or does it have some underlying color?

Mink is like what I call "testa di moro"- a very dark brown, almost black!

You are making it so hard to pick just one bag! I love that description of color. Do you know what bags Tano is making/has made in the sable velvet leather. Thanks.
Also do you have the tentative dimensions for the tit for tat or london diary?

Most of the velvet bags come in sable... ie LRC, carte blanche, strictly sauvage, baroque beauty, tribal master, quick witted, model citizen

Tano has updated their website for Fall FINALLY... if you see a bag there that you like you can look at the color swatches beside it to see if sable is an option. Check it out!

There is nothing in blueberry trimmed in brown. Blueberry crunch bags that have aberdeen trim are trimmed in black or dark blue.

Last years blueprint color, which was similar to this year's blueprint, was trimmed in brown.

^^ That Blueprint was perfect! Oh well, I can always hope for spring!

TE, what's the official word from Tano on leather protectors? I thought I saw it somewhere but I can't seem to find it in a search.

ETA: Ooh, a FAQ's post at the beginning of this thread would have been awesome if there were a way to update it!

We should do a care section. good idea. Lots of people here use apple garde and conditioner , meltonian neutral polish, tarrago colored creams, and mink oil in the tub.

Default Care Section
TE a care section would be a great idea. I was going to post the question of care for my soon-to-be-delivered SS. I do not want to have the same disappoint as with my purple Kooba Nastasha (discolorations in less than a week, spots darkened in sunlight.) So does the velvet leather need to be treated? If so, with what? Thanks again!

Anxiously awaiting delivery of my first Tano!

Question on the "Boogie Demise/Rise of the Moving Up Bag"

Hi TE- the BB is my favorite Tano-I am not a fan of the velvet leather, just love my Boogies, and want to get more. Do you have any idea yet of what Tano is going to do about producing them next season? Is it definitely going to be replaced with the front pocket Boogie, which I thought I saw was called the Moving Up bag?

I ask this because I still would like to get a truffle and avocado Boogie, and eventually they will be hard to find. I don't want to miss out on buying them by waiting to see if the Moving Up is replacing the Boogie. Any news you can provide would be greatly appreciated! TIA!

Hi W's M

Moving up is definitely in the lineup for Spring 09, but at the moment the boogie is not. This could change at any moment. If it does, I will post a new thread to announce it. Believe me, Im just as eager as everyone else for Spring boogies!

thanks for the info TE. Yikes, this is making it tough!!!

If I can bother you with more more question...it's regarding the color mandarin. Is it very orangey, or does it have a touch of brown in there? Do you know what color I mean by "british tan?" If you do, which do you think is more like that color, fall 08s mandarin, or spring 09s caramel? TIA!!!
