Default advice on selling bag...
I have a jettsetter that I've used a lot in the past. I haven't used it for about a year now. I hate having bags sit in their dust bags unused....I don't see myself using it again anytime soon since for me now, it's too small.

It does show signs of wear and it has one maybe two spots on there from use. I know it could possibly be dyed (I'm just too lazy to give it a whirl.)

If I was to try and sell it, what would be a good way to honestly describe it. Do I suggest a possible dye job? Thanks.

Honestly, B, you're not going to get much if it's in extremely worn condition. My advice would be to dye it yourself, and then try to sell it. Who knows? Maybe you'll love it again!

If you don't want to try that, at least Lubriderm it (it's crunch, yes?) and take good pics. So long as you're honest, I'm sure it will sell.

At least you aren't going to claim it as "vintage" or "excellent condition" like other sellers.

You don't want to put anything that sounds too drastic in the auction (I'm assuming you'll use eBay...) but you want to be honest....so I'd say it has some wear and put pics of the same. The buyer would have to decide what the best course of action is after that.

I'm not sure what leather the Jet Setter is made from. You may want to post a question in the Ask Tano Expert sticky about the best way to condition the bag. It may really bring the color out.

Given how hard it is to find older styles and since it's a Sex Bomb in a different leather you may be pleasantly surprised how in demand it could be!

LOL!!! I like the word vintage.....

I did think to lubriderm it...but TE had mentioned the type of leather on the jettsetter wouldn't work.

Maybe I should get off my lazy behind and dye it.....

Yeah, don't use Lubriderm. That's a crunch thing (Though it'd probably work on Lenny, too)

You could also decide how much you really are willing to take for the bag and start your sale at that price. If it doesn't sell then you know you've over priced.

^^^Though I've never sold on Ebay I did just purchase my first ever used bag from there. My seller listed all three "minor stains/marks" in close up photos and the quality of those photos made me feel so much more at ease. I received it yesterday and I feel like I ripped her off! I was prepared for the "imperfections" and the way she listed the bag made it obvious that though she found no use for it anymore in her collection, it was such a fabulous bag that she wanted someone else to enjoy it KWIM??

Bottom line, just be as honest as you can and you might be surprised how quickly she sells!!

Ahh, gotcha. I don't know what the jetsetter is, but yes, definitely on crunch only. They DO make leather conditioners that are ok on other types of leather, just don't get anything oil based for sure.

Can we see it?

^^It looks just like a Sex Bomb. But the leather is not crunch.

Oh geez. I thought that thing was going to be a train wreck for the Tano Abuse thread! Honey, that's not bad at all! I'm sure someone would buy that puppy right up!

I am new to Tano, but not new to bags, or ebay, and I think as long as you disclose you should be fine...that bag looks pretty darn good to me!

I am sure someone will love getting a gently loved Tano!

It's a beautiful bag - I'm sure someone will snap it up.

Is that melon?

That bag is gorgeous! The flaws are very, very minor. You shouldn't have any problem selling her sweetie.
