Default Advice on my first Tano??

Hello Everyone! I just joined and this is my first post but I've actually been lurking around here for a while. It's time to buy my first Tano! Only problem is after two weeks of back and forth I still have NO idea what to get. It seems like a lot of you really like the Boogie Bucket but I'm worried that it might not have enough structure for me. What do you recommend for someone who wants a little slouch and a little structure??

Welcome, welcome, welcome!!! Perhaps a minilisa?? It has a different shape than the boogie bucket though... otherwise my votes would go to a streetwalker or a french nanny. What else were you looking at besides the boogie?

I am really loving the new up close and personal. The description says similar to the boogie in size but it looks a little more structured for a change and I like the longer shoulder straps. I'm getting it in grape!

Actually the Boogie bucket might be a good bag for you. It is stiff at first (especially the handle) but slouches and softens up as you use it. The bottom of the bag is flat due to an extra strip of leather on the bottom of the bag, giving it some structure. The rest of it is a slouchy bag. Hope this made sense. It's late and I should be in bed!

I don't have a Minilisa but I think that might have a little more structure or maybe the Sexbomb. Those are two very popular styles.

I think the boogie would be a great first Tano too. I switch my bags up regularly, so I use a purse organizer. It makes it a lot easier to find things and it fits perfectly in my boogie bucket. My boogie has a nice slouch, but it still has more structure than some of my other Tanos.

Thanks, ladies. That helps a lot. For those of you with boogie buckets, what is your favorite color on that bag? I'm leaning toward grape or blueberry, but I wonder if that much color might get old after a while. Should I stick with a neutral I know I will carry forever (well, until my next purchase of course ) like truffle?

Does anyone have an opinion on the Fashion Temple yet? I know its brand new but I was just wondering what the initial reaction is. Likes? Dislikes? Anyone planning to order it for fall?

I like that grape Up Close and Personal! If I didn't have a grape Self Service on pre-order I would be all over that one!

I think that's a perfect description of the Boogie! It's a great bag. I think the straps on the side give it a little structure too, but I love that the bottom is wide. I have the Truffle and it's an absolutely beautiful color, very rich.

I agree about the Boogie. If you want some structure and some slouch the Boogie is perfect. The flat bottom and side straps give it structure and after the leather breaks in, it has a great slouch as well. I love the Boogie...

As far as colors, wow that is hard. Tano has some great shades out this season. I find myself considering colors that I don't really go for, lol. I think the Grape is awesome. Purple is the new black for Fall/Winter and I think the Grape shade is very versatile. The Black on Black is killer and I usually find black bags boring. I also really like the Truffle.....such a gorgeous dark chocolate. Wow, I'm not help am I? lol

If you like tano after you get your first bag.... you will be addicted and will buy colorful bags no matter what. You can't go wrong with any color tano and I say be adventurous and try grape or blueberry!!! What's the harm? I adore colorful bags and most people on tpf tend to find out that colorful bags work well with a multitude of wardrobes and can even seem neutral depending on what you wear it with.

Hi, welcome! I've looked at the Fashion Temple online and I think it's adorable. And you were asking about the grape color... I got a grape French Nanny a few weeks ago, and trust me the grape NEVER gets old I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE it.
