Who else had a sucky Valentine's day???

So first my bf couldn't decide which restaurant he wanted to go to, we had three different reservations. Then he picks one and when we go it's loud and unromantic and there was even a kid screaming. Then he gets mad at me because I decided to pay the bill. Apparently on V-Day the guy is always supposed to pay. That's not so bad except in the car we get into an argument and I end up crying like I always do. If this was any other day it wouldn't be such a problem, but I'm a girl and I think Valentines day is supposed to be romantic with no crying involved. I'm not really mad, I just think the night was a huge disappointment. At least I got some chocolate out of it.

Anyone else have a less than stellar night?

I did. I went to Taco Bell with my brother. What kind of a loser goes to Taco Bell on valentines day? Apparently a lot of people because the line was backed up almost out of the parking lot! And now I feel sick and crappy from eating Taco Bell.

oh noo! I'm sorry you had a not-so-great VDay...

I think when you have the great expectations of the perfect romantic dinner all the pressure just spoils it all. We get frustrated that nothing worked out the way it was planned and then we fight little silly fights :(

I also think that finding the perfect restaurant for VDay is nearly impossible, since EVERYBODY goes out for dinner and no matter where you go, it will be packed!

Why don't you set up a make-up date on a slower night, maybe next WE? I did this once with my ex, because on my birthday we had a silly fight, because we were frustrated about something totally unrelated. We celebrated the next day, when we had both calmed down. It was a really nice evening

btw, I am sure your BF just got frustrated, because the dinner was less than perfect and he wanted to at least treat you to the dinner. And then you paid and he felt useless :( I bet it was just the whole frustration thing!

aww, sorry you feel sick :( Taco Bell does that to me too... yet I still like going

Mine sucked. It was a huge disappointment. I bought my boyfriend a present, and he took me out to dinner and that was it. He didn't get me a gift. No chocolate. No card. At least he mustered up some flowers. But he told me to take his gift back since he didn't get me one. But I can't since it's lingerie
I get diasappointed easily, so this was a huge disappointment. I thought he would surprise me with something. But he didn't plan anything. He didn't even start looking at restaurants until yesterday after I kept nagging at him to do so.
I'm just disappointed cuz he never got me an xmas gift, and he keeps telling me he's gonna get me one (yeah right, when, next xmas)

so I thought for sure he would maybe at least give me an xmas present tonight.
I freaking kept hinting at him too like a million times saying, "Man I need a pedicure. Oh look! Coupons for a pedicure!" and placing them in plain sight on the kitchen counter. "awwww I want a bunny rabbit" and emailing him links to shelters that adopt rabbits.
He said "Oh my family doesn't do presents for Valentine's Day."
I said "Oh, my family doesn't either but I gave presents to my past boyfriends and they give me presents"

LOL sorry, mine wasn't sucky, but there was quite a funny moment!

We were late night shopping in the city and got very hungry so we went and had greasy Chinese food from a food court close by.

Halfway through my meal I say "Well, Valentine's Day dinner in a food court, hey?" (mostly joking) and SO looks at me with his mouth full, eyes wide and says "Oops".

I just laughed at him!

Im going through a bad breakup at the moment... so I thought Id treat myself to some nice things to smile again!
So I went shopping - yay

I bought a pretty nail polish and chocolate (lol) and I came across the cutest pair of ballet flats - so I bought 2 pairs! One black pair and one purple!

.......And then on my way back to my car, I passed my ex flirting madly with the girl he apparently cheated on me with... Then Irecieved a txt msg from him 15 minutes later saying "f**k you, you f**king ice queen."

nice... real nice...

oh well.... at least I got some pretty shoes...

I hate Valentine's Day. My husband never ever listens to anything I say but this year he decided to listen to me when I said, "Don't get me anything this year."

Well this one sucked just like last year. My husband is deployed so he missed my birthday on the 12th and Today Valentines day. Last year they had them in training away for a month and so he missed last year also. I guess this is what I should get used to in the military

OMG

Tell him that your next bf will let him know how much of an ice queen you really are.

...what a piece of **** he is....start dating, but I am worried he'll do something horrible or spread rumors to ruin whatever potential relationship you might have in the future. This guy is awful.

And besides, you should hold your own personal valentines day for the two of you when he gets back instead of missing out entirely!
