But what if the guys are staring at a girl's face and not at other parts of her body??

Err, how R-rated can their thoughts be, if the men are staring at a woman's face?? (ok, that sounds quite naive) Anyway, hopefully someone can clarify this

Yeah...they're R rated.

Now, don't let that fool you into thinking other things aren't running through his head. He's probably thinking how cool you seem...but then that leads into more R rated thoughts. :)

Bisoux, how bout taking him to a game? Make sure you wear a baseball cap. Girls in baseball caps are super cute.

It depends on the girl and where (and maybe how she is dressed).

Slutty outfit = sex

Big boobs and she's showing a lot of cleavage = sex

For me, a girl who is dressed really well will make me stare, my eyes are looking over the details. Part of it might be a sexual attraction, but that's not a conscious thought going through my head. Gazing is another matter. I remember a girl in college, she used to come to class in a borderline slutty outfit, and she was a knockout. I probably had the sex stare for a few days, but she ended up sitting next to me and I really liked her. My stare turned into a gaze. I think I gazed more when she wasn't there. What perfume would she be wearing today? I have to come up with a stupid joke that will make her laugh. Even though she's way out of my league, maybe she dumped her boyfriend and I could at least think of asking her out.

Sometimes more of my feminine side comes out and I end up wanting to know where she got her outfit or those incredible shoes.

If she's really quirky I want to stare, I like unusual people. I might be staring at her tattoos or bright pink hair, or she's really tall or has a je ne sais quoi that makes her unique.

That's what I don't understand. Why would someone be out of your league?

I am tall. I have been told by countless people that I'm beautiful. I am smart. I am funny. And, if you can say that of yourself, I'm a nice person...which I find the most important. Do guys think I'm out of their league? Is that why it is so hard for me to find someone? Do I make the good guys feel insecure? I don't hope a guy ever thought of me that I'm way out of their league, cause maybe that would have been the guy I could have been the happiest with. :(

Don't ever feel out of someone's league, really, we're all human, we're are the same.

If a guy disappears on you over the summer break, is there any chance of a reconnection? I was supposed to visit him, but his father became very sick, and he became very closed off and later ignored my two emails about seeing him. He is back in school now, and I am back in the same town. I don't think he knows I am back, and I have been avoiding the campus. We didn't date that long before the summer started (a little over a month). I like him a lot. I am just trying not to be too fanatic about him, hence I am staying away from his hangouts. Should I just move on? Or give it a chance (is there a chance)? If so, what is the best way to approach this?

Thanks.

Now that I'm a little older, I don't feel that way so much. This was right after high school where if you weren't in a certain clique, it probably wouldn't happen. It's also easier now that I'm not so testosterone-driven and that I do have a gf. If I had been able to go back and tell myself to talk to a girl with only thoughts of being friends with her, the relationship part would come with the right girl. Damn you testosterone! Looking back through my yearbook, the girls that I was "just friends" with were the ones who wanted me to ask them out. I wasn't smart enough to figure that out at the time.

Are you the quiet type or the life of the party? I'm quiet and my gf is the talkative one, if I had met her at a party, I might not have gotten to know her well. If you are interested in a guy who is more on the quiet side, corner him where the two of you can talk a little more. Thanks for putting that in print, you sound like a great person. He's out there.

I don't know if this has been asked before. but recently the movie version of the famous best-seller "He's Just NOT That Into You" written by Greg Behrendt was made, and in that movie, as well as the book, and contrary to most of the things you advised in this thread: A guy is not interested in you if
1) He does not call you
2) He does not ask you out
3) He does not directly express how much he likes you...
How true is that?

I'm asking this because most of the time I think that the guy likes me if he gives me a "look" and showers lots and lots and lots of attention on me...could I be right?

These things are GENERALLY true. If it's all three, I'd say definitely true, but each one has exceptions:

1) He does not call you - If not at all, he's not interested. If he doesn't call you enough, he might just be a typical guy if he's young. Older guy who does not call, he's not interested.

2) He does not ask you out - The exception here might be that you've become "friends" and he's too nervous that you might not like him in that way. I was guilty of this in my high school/college years. It's especially true if you live in the same dorm and/or see each other every day. Drop a hint, ask him for a shoulder massage.

3) He does not directly express how much he likes you - similar to the exception in #2 and younger guys are more guilty of this.

If he gives you a look and lots of attention, I can't think of an exception to this one. He likes you.

My guy friend told me that all guys picture girls naked when they are walking by.

What if he actually does do all three of these but insists that his head is not yet in a place to commit to you or anyone at the moment, so tells you to be patient and in effect "chill"? And then he goes out with others but is open to you about it? So confusing.

I wouldn't say that's accurate.

I'm assuming he means the girls he finds attractive. Still, I don't. For me, it's just an overall idea of the girl that quickly runs through my head. A quick glance at her shoes, outfit, butt, figure and a "damn!". Then I walk on by and go about my business.

I'm quite sure a lot of women do something similar when they see a guy they feel is hot.

Actually, I dont imagine men naked, even when I find them hot. I just get a dreamy feeling and a dreamy smile on my face.
