First of all, congrats on your new addition! I think it's lovely (and perfect for summer)!

Re: your acquaintance's comment, I would just ignore her and not bring up the topic of bags with her in the future. That was very rude of her and hopefully she will learn to keep her opinions to herself next time.

On a similar note:
I just got the Speedy Azur yesterday. My friend "T" heard from my friend "E" that I got it. I had gone to LV with "T" to LV a few months ago and she mentioned she loved the Speedy in Azur and almost bought it. She has a good job and she can afford it.... yet she still doesn't own any LV and prefers Bal and MBMJ. She asked me today "why" I got it and joked I was a "b*tch" for getting it. I told her the fact that I had it should not stop her... its a freakin Speedy! Everyone has them! Get it if you want it. Judging her from her tone she wasn't convinced.

OMG how could anyone tell you that your Evelyne is ugly... I love that bag. You got such an amazing deal on it. I can't wait to see it IRL. I also just sent you an email telling you who it is, since you know them.

You know what..those pictures don't do the bag enough justice. I saw someone carrying the vernis bellevue lookalike bag (not too sure what the model was) in that color and it is GORGEOUS in real life. I remember purposely looking back just to eye it one last time because it was THAT beautiful. The vernis line is not my first choice for LV BUT I love it in the perle color and it's hard to find in stores. Everyone has different tastes, but what your friend said was somewhat rude imo seeing how she could've totally told you that it's not quite her taste but if you like it then more power to you, something along those lines. But, as you mentioned she's not even a close friend so let her be..it could be a mix of jealousy or that's just how she is. Find someone else you enjoy shopping with that doesn't have such a mouth on her. I absolutely love how vernis looks in the perle color and honestly like the style.

I wouldn't take it personally, and I don't think it's jealousy... everyone just has different taste and some happen to be more opinionated and vocal about that taste.

Example: My BFF has made it a habit to call my Coach bags old-lady-ish. She hates them. So I've made it a habit to call her horse foot every time she wears her zebra print pumps. I hate those pumps.

Just ignore it... you love it, and I think your bag is lovely too!

Sorry to say it just sounds like jealousy on their part? Some people now days seem to lack even basic manners, IMO it is just rude of your friend.
Tell them it's just as well they won't be carrying it then and leave it at that.
I think your bag collection is amazing!
