Just ignore her. As long as you love the bag, that's all that matters.

It's definitely jealous and being catty. Just because she owns designer bags doesn't mean she has class!

Enjoy your Vernis bag :)

I would have found the comment rude. I'm of the opinion that not everyone has to like you or like the same things as you, but politeness should always be given. If someone didn't like my bag, I wouldn't care. If someone was rude to me based on my bag or whatever... That just reflects on her upbringing!

Who cares? Maybe she really doesn't like the bags? What difference does it make? I searched for months to find a particular Chanel bag and I finally found it. I had to pay a premium for it too. When my sister saw it she looked at it and said, "I don't like it, the handles are ugly." It didn't bother me. She has her style (Coach) and I have mine (Chanel). To each their own.

well then that definitely tells me she's jealous. why else would she say something like that? i imagine she's jealous because maybe she can't afford to get a brand new, louis vuitton vernis right now??? that's how it would appear to me, at least.

I think they're just jealous because you can afford such bags and they probably couldn't. Even if it's not their style they shouldn't say straight up it's "Ugly". I have friends who have bought purses I wouldn't buy for myself but I told them I'm happy for them because I know the purchases made them happy, and how long they have wanted such purses!

ahh, this is what makes us all different.

I suppose she's entitled to her own opinion but to actaully say it to you is just plain rude. Ignore her and try not to take it to heart.

As long as YOU love it that's all that matters

If someone i hardly knew said that to me, i would look at them and tell them, *well, i didn't buy it for you to like or not like* and then just laugh.
some people are so rude.

ITA! I would never say something so crass - it is rude. You can politely say that a bag isn't your style without hurting the other person's feelings.

Sorry beljwl it happened to you.

I wouldn't necessarily write it off as jealousy.

She may just be the type of person that is very frank and blunt and often gives her unsolicited opinion without thinking about how it sounds coming out. I've done this before once... I told a friend I didn't like the way her hair was looking even though she hadn't asked my opinion. I definitely paid for that remark haha

I think that comment about her not having to carry it is the best way to handle it and then just forget about it.

wow. thats just mean. I could not hang out with someone like that Bets. I think I would have just said, "well, thats good to know in case I was ever inclined to get you something from LV. oh yeah and thanks for insulting my taste."

yuck. I'm sorry you experienced such negativity. I'll go shopping wichoo' soon - I won't insult your beautiful bags! I love vernis! Especially your Amarante...

I wouldn't care, they are entitled to their opinion. If they felt the need to say it about everything I buy then I would tell them we have different syles and I dont like everything they have either
