I usually am cleaning and then I watch some TV..last night I organized drawers full of receipts and weeded out some old bills and documents.

If I don't have anything planned I'll usually just stay home and get some work done.

On the very rare ocassion I'm alone on a weekend night I love it X

Up until 19:30 DD & I snuggle up on the sofa together & watch silly programs that amke is laugh.

When DD has gone to bed I have a long bath & watch trash on TV.

I love it, but wouldnt like it often.

I am worn out by Friday. I feel mentally exhausted, so I rarely make plans on Friday. I usually come home, make dinner and clean or do stuff that I don't have time for during the week, like reading magazines. If I don't have plans for Saturday, I really don't care. I keep super busy on my own w/ my hobbies (making jewelry, baking, reading, decorating the house and looking for odds and ends at stores, gardening/yard work- always a constant for a few hours every weekend). I enjoy seeing family and friends, but I also need a lot of alone time and enjoy my time to myself. I don't like "packed" weekends, so I'm happy with what I do.

When I was single, I'd go out to a bar and meet up with friends or just go alone. Maybe hit up Starbucks and read a bit or people watch. Go for a walk in the park. Anything to get out of the house.

I enjoyed being single.

IMO, it depends on whether you're happy doing things alone and whether you want to be alone.

If you are happy doing things alone, I'd "make the weekend special" by going to the theater or movies since I don't have time for such things during the week. Maybe I'd sign up for a meetup event that interests me but not DH.

If you're not happy doing things alone, I'd sign up for a meetup event or class that interests me so that I could meet other people.

i love staying at home alone on friday and saturday night... just veg out infront of the tv... with some snacks... don't have to worry about the next day... it's just awesome.

i usually don't like to go out on fridays or saturdays (although i will) because every place is just SO busy.

Do you like to cook? Make yourself a nice, gourmet meal that you've never tried before. Do some baking. Go to the bookstore, get yourself a nice cup of coffee or tea, and browse around. Starbucks is also a nice place to bring a book or magazine.

Are there any groups you can join? Are you sure you are happy being alone since you say you are so bored over the weekend? I wonder if some company might help that. Maybe find a club or activities or common interest group that offers occasional weekend activities.

After working all week, I'm just ready to "veg" out! Saturday is always my "shopping" day when I just do something that I enjoy. The rest of the weekend I'm doing lesson plans, correcting, cleaning and grocery shopping. I'd prefer not to have to spend so much time with school work-but it's part of the job.

On a typical Friday night, I tend to just hang out at home like everyone says, or I just go to my favorite cafes and sushi bars and grab food... and eat and read books for hours on end.

Or, I usually go to my favorite cafe overlooking Bryant Park to drink green tea latte and plan the rest of my day on my computer. I actually like going out by myself and exploring the city by myself. I like being a loner actually, strange enough.

If it's raining I will stay in bed, watch mindless tv and drink champagne.....now that I think about it, it doesn't have to be raining for me to do that... Or I take a short trip with some girlfriends to Vegas, get messages and shopping.....depends on mood and weather and time......

Honestly? I play my Sims game or peruse the various TPF's sub-forums.
If I feel like going out during the day, I take the train downtown and get a makeover at Sephora, Macys or Nordies.
I also watch my secret movies, also known as my chick flicks that I wouldn't otherwise watch with a bf or male cousins

At night, I try to go out to dinner with friends or to the club while I'm still interested in those activities
