I know just how you feel. For a long time I thought "things" represented possibility... that if I had the right dress, the right bag, the right watch -- I'd be somehow right for the job, the man, the group of friends. It's proven to be simply untrue.

I have always cared about "things" until a certain someone walked into my life and made me realize that there is much more to life. The older one gets, the more you realize that money truly cannot buy happiness.

That being said, I still LOVE my LV bags!

I am the exact same way. Before he died (Feb 2), I didn't care about much other than the necessities and a few extras here and there. But since he's passed, I spend a lot of my money!

Spending definitely is a coping mechanism.
