Trouble with Paris Hilton wannabe

the story goes..

i have a cousin, who suddenly just falls in love with paris hilton, and has tons of photos which she posted on her facebook. (actually she made a whole album of paris hilton photos!) And she says she wants to be Paris Hilton

OK, so i told her, not to embarrass herself, unless she wanted to be blonde and stupid, she should not say she wants to be Paris. and another friend she has also ironically asked her if she wants to have her own porno.

She replys with a very angry message saying that if i want to start a fight with her, and i should becareful of what i say to her. And she was blabbling about me having a kid, and getting married too early and have no job etc (while i'm still studying in uni), and she said i was jealous of Paris (WTF?!)

Seriously, no offence to Paris, but if i didn't care less about my cousin i wouldn't have said that to her, have i done anything wrong seriously?

I was very angry and upset, and i just wanted to vent. Shes an older cousin, and I'm not trying to pick a fight with her, i thought i should just remind her, and i get such "insulting" feedback. sighs

so..if she is older than you and you are getting married adn having a kid, how old is she? she sounds like a 12 year old!

Ughhh, why Paris?? I mean, I see many people that become infatuated with the celebrity status, however have you asked her what it is exactly about Paris that she adores? The only thing I think of when I think of Paris is a girl who got famous only because of her sex movie that was leaked, a girl that was busted and sent to jail for driving while intoxicated and a girl that hangs out at nightclubs, dancing and acting like a stripper!
If your sister wanted to be a celebrity wannabe, she should at least pick someone a better role model!
It doesnt sound like you are going to be able to change her mind or sway her at all if she is responding with the "you are just jealous" comments. Hopefully she will grow out of it and you can just avoid her Paris comments, photos, etc.

There is nothing wrong with being a fan of a celebrity. However, your cousin might be taking her "fan" status a little too far.

Hopefully it's just a phase she is going through and the phase will pass. Still, she doesn't need to start arguments with you over her admiration of Paris Hilton.

If I were you, I would stay out of this right now. Don't say anything to your cousin. Let her get the Paris obsession out of her system, and hopefully she'll calm down soon. It's not worth arguing over. If her behavior starts to edge on being extremely obsessive, or even dangerous (she really does look into making a, erm, video, or other Paris-like behavior), then, as a concerned family member, I would sit her down and talk to her about it, or notify someone that both of you know and trust of what's going on.

i already tried acting like a concerned family member, and i got slapped with insults like early marriage, can't get a job, earn decent income etc...

i didn't respond to her insults, i would've, but DH pulled me away, and told me to calm down, while i was silently weeping, because my poor cousin doesn't understand...

edited: i just found out she deleted me on facebook and messenger because of that -.-

i think you shouldnt worry about her too much - she isnt really hurting anyone or herself by becoming more 'paris' like, in reality this isnt a big issue so try to to worry or stress yourself out because of it
