Oh well I'm bored so I guess I'll post about last night. I went to happy hour with my sister and ran into this guy I met back in December at a Holiday Party. He and I chatted a bit at the party, and I could tell he wanted to exchange numbers but I wasn't all that interested at the time. There was a lot going on at the party and I wasn't there looking to meet anyone so I sorta got away from him after we chatted. Well last night he recognized me and we started chatting again. He's pretty funny. We sat and talked for about an hour and ended up exchanging numbers. So maybe I have a new friend!

Sometimes i'm unsure if I should even post in this thread since I seem to be the only one not actively looking for a mate

^^^haha here's something funny that happened to me while walking to my building this morning.

A police officer (different one every day) sits on this one corner I pass every morning, sorta to make sure nothings going on in the area. Its a safety thing since there are a lot of students around here and its a not so great part of the city. Well anyway I pass the little booth this morning and just as I'm about to cross the street I hear "Excuse me miss!" so I turn around and its the officer in the booth, he opened the door to chat.

Now I've seen him 100 times before and think he's so hot

and he always waves hello to me and I to him. Well today he says "Hi how are you? you know the other office who sits here, the one who drives the black acura?" and I'm like "no not really, there are a bunch of you at different times" So he goes on to tell me how crazy the guy is about me, and how he sees me walking by every morning blah blah blah. Meanwhile i'm thinking to myself I think I know who you're talking about, but you're so much hotter you're the one i'd want

but of course it never works out that way. So I left him with a smile and told him the next time Mr. crazy about me sees me to tell him to holla at me

Oh and here's a little update on the guy my brother hooked me up with. Yesterday we were supposed to have dinner again, but I had to drop my car at a mechanic so I couldn't. So he sends me this weird txt message about coming over and bringing his son with him, and how his son could sit in my basement and watch t.v.

So I txt him back and told him I didnt think that was a good idea at all, and that I didnt allow anyone im seeing to be around my kids and certainly dont need to meet theirs unless we are in an exclusive relationship. So he responds ok. Then a little while later were on the phone and he's acting as if I brought up the whole kids thing outta nowhere

But he's the one who mentioned bringing his son to my house when I never invited him nor his son! I can't stand a guy who thinks they are just gonna chill at my house

Dude we just met we need to be out and about until much later in the relationship, guess allowing him to sit with me for those 2 hours when he came to look at my hallway was a bad idea

Hope the hot officer asks you out instead of the other one, LOL! And how creepy he's telling other co-workers how crazy he is about you!!!

As for your brothers friend, yikes! That was not a nice suggestion about bringing his kid over PLUS putting him in the basement! Big no no!

Hopefully the hot officer asks u out. Do u think that maybe he's interested in you but mentioned his coworker just to test the waters? Have u noticed the coworker checking u out or anything?

Don't worry, it just takes time.

I just got out of a 4-year relationship in January. It was tough, but I needed to get out of it. We had gotten too comfortable with each other that I was in denial about all the negative aspects of our relationship. I didn't realize until recently how damaging it was to my self-confidence. I finally accepted that we want difference things (I really should have accepted that a year ago, but no girl wants to admit that she was stupid to stay in a bad relationship.).

We're still friends and talk once or twice a month. I don't know if I'm ready to jump back on the dating bandwagon just yet. I'm trying to re-empower myself and just enjoy my singlehood. It's been a really long time since I've been single and had the opportunity to be a little selfish and not have to worry about another person.

Hope that didn't come off cruel-hearted. I'm just concentrating on me right now. But I'm loving hearing about all your other dating stories ladies!

I'm separated, guess that means I'm kind of single but I am definitely enjoying my singlehood! and not glad to be tied down to anyone and anything at the moment.
