Here is our wedding cake. The bottom layer was fake as there were only 18 people to feed. Unfortunately no one told us that before we tried cutting it with the sword. Not so easy to cut styrofoam with an old sword!

There are 3 mouth-watering flavors on that cake: chocolate, almond and carrot. Each mini-cake showcased each one of the 3 flavors

we had cupcakes instead of a cake, they were the specialty of the place where we were married. the "cake" had white ones -they were vanilla toffee with carmel buttercream and we also served chocolate ones - they were chocolate hazelnut with chocolate buttercream

Me too... too bad I've never really had great wedding cake either. Most of the weddings I've been to have had not so great cake, even though the cakes were pretty.

You know, it's funny... I've had really outstanding wedding cake three times(and I've been to tons of weddings, especially recently). Each time everyone was like "OMG! Did you try this cake?! It's so good... and like, actually good, not just wedding cake good!"

My one sister had a phenomenally good-tasting cake, but it was so fresh it was starting to collapse and they had to cut it early

My other sister had the most beautiful cake you've ever seen, but it tasted like cardboard. It does seem like it's usually one or the other
