Hi everyone. My husband and I have decided to seek marriage counseling. I wanted to check on here to see if anyone has any recommendations for someone in the Seattle area. Thank you!

I don't have any recommendations but I wanted to share my experience with three marriage counselors. The first one was the marriage counselor for our friends and recommended by them. My DH and I didn't like her from the first session because we both felt she was too controlling, so we didn't go back since. The second one was my DH therapist who was willing to do couple counseling also, which is not very usual as far as I leaned from other counselors. This one did not work out either. However the third one was wonderful. We both like her and think we can learn a lot from the sessions. It may take a few to find the right one for you two but definitely worth it!! Good luck!!

If it would be covered with your insurace, you could check online. I find new doctors and therapists by going to the Blue Cross Blue Shield website and typing in my location. Then I know the results take my insurance.
