I have to tell everyone here, since I can't tell anyone else.

Although I have always figured at some point I would get married, I don't want children so it has never been a huge priority. I'm in my mid thirties and was engaged once before but I called it off. My current bf and I have been together for 5 years and after going though some hard things together, things have been going really well. We were casually talking this past weekend and it somehow evolved into a talk about marriage and weddings.

We decided that in the summer we are going to go on our dream vacation and get married while we are there! We aren't telling anyone ( except my parents who are sworn to secrecy) until we get back- I know if I tell 1 person, everyone will find out and I want to avoid all of the wedding hooplah. I am really excited- after all of these years I get getting married to the right person in the way that I want. I talked to my best friend today and didn't even tell her! So i have to share it with all of you because i have to tell some one.

I'm glad that your parents know about it though lol~ it will definitely be a shocker to your friends (but a good one, of course).

I'm 23, and I'm in no rush to get married or have kids anytime soon- but hopefully, i will be able to settle down once i meet that "special" someone
