Necromancer, thank you! I hope it helps her too! I get so scared when I think about the whole transplant thing. We're planning on visiting real soon even though we were just there last weekend!

Thank you!!! I spoke to my sister last night and she said my mom is on a catheter and her kidneys are producing urine. Her levels are all getting back to normal, but they aren't sure at this time what's going to happen, whether she'll need to be on dialysis or transplant. She said they are just going to wait and see. Thanks again for the prayers and support. They are greatly appreciated!!!

Update on my mom. Her kidneys are producing urine so I guess that's a good sign. I spoke to my brother last night and he told me she was close to death had they not brought her to the hospital. Her creatine levels were in the thousands (normal is about 100?), but they are now back down to about 200 or so. She is to undergo a blood transfusion today to get all the toxic blood out of her system, and I believe another round of dialysis. Everything is slowly starting to get back to normal. I guess time will tell, but she might be in the hospital a few more days before she goes home.

Another big problem she has is sleep apnea. She had the mask but refused to wear it and my sister said she ended up selling it! Ugh.... that made me so mad, but my sister said they will force my mother to wear it even if they have to chain her to the bed (just kidding of course) but you know what I mean!! They will get her a new mask and she is to be on a strict diet from now on. If we can keep her around for a few more years I will be more than happy!!! My father was 62 when he passed away 10 years ago, and I would like her to live at least until 70!!

Thanks again for everyone's prayers! Looks like they are working!!

It sounds like things are starting look better! That's good. P.S. That fighting spirit your mother has will be just the thing that keeps her going!!!

Thanks again for the prayers everyone. I swear they are working because yesterday when I called my sister said the nurses were so happy because her levels are getting back to normal. I think she'll be going home sometime next week? Thanks again everyone, you are all awesome!!!
