I'm so sorry lvvuittonaddict, I definitely know how that feels. My BF and I have been together for 3 1/2 years and most of that time we've been in a long distance relationship.
I'm from Northern California and he's from Southern California. He moved up here to attend the junior college so he could have a good chance of transferring into UC Berkeley (he didn't do so hot in high school). We met during my last semester at the JC and hit it off amazingly! We dated for about 6 months, then I transferred to the University of Southern California in LA (aka where my BF is from). We didn't want to kill the great relationship we had, so we made an attempt to keep it strong over the 6 hours and 400 miles difference between us. So I spent 2 years at USC while he spent 1 more year at the the junior college, and then transferred to UC Berkeley. Then I graduated college and moved back home, and we were finally reunited! I started working in the SF Bay Area and my BF finished his final year at UC Berkeley. Now he finally graduated this summer, and he's moving back home to LA.
So now we're back to being in a long distance relationship. Aaaah, it's like we can never be together! We talk on the phone multiple times a day, and either I'll fly to LA or he'll come up here. We see each other about once a month and a half. It's not easy. Both of us have to work at it, but we still love each other very much.
But just be patient. And make sure he knows that you're always thinking about him. Occasionally, I'll mail little surprises or love notes to my boyfriend in LA, just to remind him that I love him. It's these things that constantly keep your relationship strong, at least I think so.
