I am now engaged!

Here is my engagement story:

Me and my now-fiance's one-year anniversary was this past Tuesday. He had told me that he had gotten me something that would fit into a L'Occitane gift box! On the day of our anniversary he presented me with the gift box and I opened it to find...nothing but a takeout menu for an italian restaurant! He was like, "That's all you get!"

Then he asked me to open his bedroom door to find my real gift! I opened the door to find a huge LV shopping bag on his bed! I was like

. I took the bag out and opened the dustbag to find...The Damier Neverfull MM!

I looked inside the bag to find a box that had my engagement ring in it! He said that he always wanted to present my engagement ring like that...with it inside an LV bag!

Then I tried on the ring and it did not fit! So we went straight to the jeweller to get it resized. They said it would not be ready until Thursday!

He had still not asked my parents for my hand in marriage yet so he told me not to tell any family members until then.

So last night he came to my parents and asked for their blessing/permission. We got their blessing and then we drove to a location where this was the view of the city:

Then he proposed officially! It happened at 9:44pm and he took a screen capture of his iPhone to get a picture of the screen with the time on it!

Here is a picture of the ring!

It's the Canadian Love Diamond, hearts and arrows cut!

What's special about it is it was cut and polished entirely in my hometown (North Vancouver), and it has 29 diamonds on it. He said that one diamond represents every year of my life, with the biggest diamond representing the past year that we've spent with each other!
