Ugh me too. I'll sit there and continue to email, watch TV or read a book or whatever, with the phone ringing and ringing. When I met my best friend (who LOVES the phone) she would call incessantly - first on the home phone until it rang out, then on the mobile until it rang out - and I just wouldn't answer. It drove her crazy. And it drove me crazy that she wouldn't stop ringing LOL

Most of the time I don't even answer the door unless I know someone is coming over!

I hate telephones. With a passion. I only have one in case I need help. Same with my cell. It's for MY use, not someone else's.

ANd, like I_wona, I don't like answering the door either, unless I know someone I want to visit is coming over. I use the little peep hole, and if it's someone I don't know, I just don't answer it.

I think mainly it's because I've discovered most strangers who call/knock on the door WANT something from me and I'm tired of giving.
