It didn't work for me, but a co-worker of mine met her hubby on Match. They've been married for 3 years and have a baby now.

I'm curious about this also. I was thinking about eharmony. Is match better than them?

I met my husband on a tattoo and piercing site about 7-9 years ago. I can't remember lol . At the time he lived in NJ and traveled down to WV to visit me and never went back. We've been married for 3 1/2 years.

My ex-boyfriend's brother met his now-wife on match and they have been married for five years, and are very happy.

And when you're lonely, just go to Neiman's and visit your friends (Coco, Louis, Marc Jacobs, whoever...)

I met my husband on World of Warcraft, and I know just how nerdy it sounds. We both had other (dying) relationships, and we just knew we were a right match. we split up with our SOs before meeting up: we got married 4 months after meeting each other, and living happily ever after 3 years later :)

DF and I both were on match.com before we got together. I had a lot of fun dates and met some great people there! Seriously, for $25/month or whatever, give it a try!

Is it worth to pay $25/month for internet dating? Well, it depends on personal choice.

I have not tried online dating but I know few people who found their match online.

Here is one of my friends case. He divorced few years back and was thinking that he would never be serious about dating someone again. After few weeks he started to search for free internet dating sites and he found okcupid.com. He registered with this site and started to browse the various personals periodically in hopes that someone might catch his interest. He came in touch with various singles and after couple of weeks he also found his match online. After few meetings online they exchanged their cell numbers and started to talk on phone too. They are enjoying their company and planning to get marriage very soon.

I am happily married for several years to a guy I met online at friendfinder.com.
Funny how I first DECLINED him to be part of my life. His pic was very good looking but his profile was scanty. Things took a different turn when he persisted, and I saw other sides of him which I liked very much. You can find your mate anywhere, the internet is no different from a social setting like a nightclub, church, or a friend's party. Just don't go totally ga-ga until you have met face to face a few times. And for every 50 twerps you meet online, 1 will be your prince charming. He isn't the only guy I met online. I've been on match.com and a couple more sites I can't remember offhand. Good luck and be safe.

Edit:
Timeline: With my husband it was 1 yr 3 mths of email correspondences (I was dating other guys but not in any commitments), then he found work in my country and we dated for about 10 mths and he then proposed. We married a year later.

Lol I met my husband on Hot Or Not...He emailed me and gave me his number I was fresh out of basic training and Ait and at my first duty station Fort Bragg. So I figured eh why not give this guy a call and see what hes about. So I called him that night he met me at my barracks and we hung out for about a week straight. Then I stopped calling him because I wasn't sure I was that interested in him he was kinda nerdy lol But after about a month of meeting nothing but total losers I figured he was really nice so I might as well give him a chance so I did and here we are 2 years later happily married both of us are out of the Army now and living in Vegas and had a baby 2 months ago so I would say it works lol.

I'm in a match.com wedding in a month

I think at least one advantage to online dating sites vs meeting people at bars, is if some guy is signed up for match, it's pretty likely that he's looking for a committed relationship, whereas guys at bars... who knows.

That said, I met my husband at a frat party.
