I get what they want (and so does everyone else who has posted) we all agree to stick to that and a suggestion was made very politely and concisely and it's hard to call it anything but attacks that has happened to that person(s) since then. THAT I don't understand.

Interestingly, RIGHT before this thread opened, in another thread it was DISCUSSED that these questions and points are important, but wouldn't it be nice if there was a subforum so that a post about problems with some form of sex in a relationship wasn't next to a post that said, "My grandmother died and I need support". Both are about relationships, but just POLAR opposites and it's a little weird.

And whatever Megs and Vlad do is their choice - their site is great and well run and I think the way they handles things make this forum in general very positive and respectful...

Which is probably why the request for a sex SUB forum (needing permission to become a member and so on) would feel "right" here because this site draws a crowd of probably mostly upper teens and 20 somethings (and some now aging to 30 somethings), mostly people who are educated or planning to be educated and well rounded and NORMAL people (who might have a problem with spending). HERE on this site it would be more likely to have mature conversation that wouldn't be perverted. It would be great if it could be closed to outside search engines so that it's not FOUND by creepos too.

Honestly, I think it's way more awful to read things on the True Crime forum (I'm soooooo glad that forum was split) than anything on a sex SUB forum would be and I doubt anyone would ever call it SEX anyway.

Maybe because I'm a sex educator for teenagers, I feel that sex conversation shouldn't be so hush-hush (because secrecy gives it power). Sex is a normal part of life and something most of us know so little about beyond the simple mechanics of it. There are books and such, but sometimes you just have questions and even with the bestest of friends, sometimes asking those questions of real people, face to face is still so taboo. I don't think it should be, but it IS.

Yes, we all have differing levels of comfort and differing levels of "what I would say or do", but reality is, most of us have sex, just like most of us shop, diet, eat, do crafts, travel, watch TV and movies, etc. - all which have forums and are not about purses.

Again, I COMPLETELY respect what Megs and Vlad are saying and I agree - the Relationships forum should be PG13 because of the audience. but what I don't understand is why part of this 'audience' is so quick to say, "Don't like it LEAVE if you HAVE to talk about sex." Kind of goes against the feeling that sex is normal and it's OK to talk about it in my mind.

This message is all convoluted, but it bothers me a bit at how forceful some people are about trying to defend Megs request when no one has shown any disrespect of Megs request... unless I've missed something.

I am late and therefore totally lost.
But I had sausage, not meatballs. Am I close?

Megs, I think we were just having a redundant conversation, because everyone was misreading the other side, or something! LOL!!! It sounds like an argument I'd have with my mom....
