What?! I think you should be extremely happy that you didn't move in together! I highly doubt the reason you two are headed for breakup is because you didn't move in (and if it really is...well, that's not a good guy to be with anyway!). Believe me, moving out is more difficult than it sounds. You have to deal with them while looking for a new roommate or place to go, what if you signed a lease together, etc etc...that is why a lot people actually prolong a bad relationship, because it is a lot of hassle to move out.

If you have any worries or concerns, then don't move in. It's not a light decision. Don't be coerced or pressured into moving in either because you feel sorry or want to please your bf. You both have to be on the same wavelength, otherwise, it will be a very hard transition which you won't feel you have any control over once it starts happening.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with waiting until you are ready... so much to do in this world, so many things to still experience when you are young and carefree.

I've been through it twice in my twenties, my own undoing because I thought about the other person's happiness, but not my own....

Sometimes people feel ready and others dont, i mean i live with my SO now and weve only been together since last nov, so what just over 8 months! but he was my good friends flatmate and i used to spend all my time at their flat with them and their other flatmates, id never be in my own flat. Although this was only 6 weeks prior to getting together it felt so much longer, like i used to spend far more time with him than any of the others and we'd often go watch sports together or sit up all night and talk after a night out with us all. Then it just sort of happened, we kissed one night and it was sort of abit of an atmosphere in the flat the next day, not between me and him but because everybody else knew and sort of thought it was a stupid thing. We kissed again the following night when i got home from another night out and everybody else had gone to bed, this was the saturday now, then by the monday we had yet another night out planned (we are students if you hadnt guessed) and i ended up staying in his room that night, and everynight for the rest of the week! i think then between mid nov-xmas i spend maybe 2/3 nights away from him and then after xmas its literally been if he's had to go home to his mums or something! it seemed like the natural thing to do for us because we spend every night together anyways so why double our rent when we can pay for both of us what we would pay each?!
sorry for the essay, just thought id explain it because i no 8 months is a very short time to live together but i no him so well, and weve been practically living together since we got together! i think thats the reason why it happened so quickly because were just used to living together!
good luck!

make sure he knows that you love him, but tell him you just aren't ready for that much of a change at your age.

don't do something you aren't completely sure about. you will just end up looking back and regretting it later.
