I would love to know the number of everyone's past relationships! It makes me wonder because whenever a problem comes up and someone posts..the majority suggests not to work it out but to just break it off. I mean some are necessary, but some I think can be worked out. But overall, I'm just being noisy here

I have had two bfs so far and also casually dated two other guys. Am in my early 20s.

I've had 3 relationships. I believe each time you get into a relationship, you become stronger and stronger and slowly filter out what you don't want. I think it is a NECESSITY to break up and go through the downs to make you stronger! Sure the first relationship breakup is hard, but its better to go through it so that you never have to deal with it again after. I can honestly say my second relationship wasn't hard to break up. Not to mention he was a crazy ass stalker but that's another story.

Sometimes I think it's sad reading relationship threads here because it seems some girls on here are very insecure with themselves and think a guy is the end all to the happy life. I think some relationships cannot be salvaged after so much mistrust and deceit.

I'm in my early 20's as well. The one I'm in now is my longest surprisingly. Almost 2 and a half years come january which is AMAZING for me. Previous relationships have been 6-8 months. Anyway I don't put too much hope into it lasting forever. I go with the flow now and basically see what happens.

I've only had 1 real bf, but it wasn't serious. I've talked to a lot of guys, but it never progressed to relationship status. I've also gone on a lot of single dates. Oh, btw, I'm 22.

If you mean people that I was committed to and called a "boyfriend," I've only had two. There has been a bunch in all kinds of other ranges though and in fact the one I loved the most ever wasn't one of the two I mentioned. I'm 35 btw. I have trouble finding people I really want to be with for more than, say, 10 seconds.

I'm 33 and I've had 4 real relationships, my first boyfriend for 3.5 years, my exhusband for 2 years, my only boyfriend after my 1st marriage...for 1.5 years, and my husband now...we've been together for 7 years now. But I had a habit of going back. For example, it went like this:

(Dated a little)

Husband 1
Boyfriend 2
Husband 2 (just friends at the time)
Boyfriend 2
Husband 1 (divorced but dated again for 9 months)
Husband 2 (forever now, I hope...lol)

I've only had 1 real relationship and I'm still with him. We've been in our relationship since we were 15. Before him I had 2 other boyfriends but I was only 13 & 14 so I don't count that. They only lasted a couple months each.

I will define "relationships" as any one guy I was seeing exclusively for any amount of time. That would be 5. That includes my DH. Lots of others inbetween those but they were just dates here and there.

thats awesome! you are very blessed. I kinda wish I hadn't had to go through so much crap but then again, if I hadn't I wouldn't be able to help out anyone else who is going through crap!
