How long?

If a guy gives you his number and you are interested. How long should you wait to ring him up?

I have no clue. When I was dating, I always made the guy call me.

If it's a cell, I'd wait two or three days and send a text, saying "hey, remember me?", give him my #, say "give me a call if you want to get together sometime" and leave the ball in his court.

I'd say the next day? Only cuz any later and I'd probably have lost the number.

Like VPT, I'm not into mind games, most decent guys aren't either. It was such a turn off when a guy would call exactly 3 days later.

I never took a guy's number. I didn't like the ball to be in my court first. I always made sure he got my number so he could call me. And if he didn't, I took the hint and didn't stress about it. Since you have his number, I would wait at least a day. Maybe after a couple days I would give him a call. I hate games but sometimes you have to play them.

I would say 2 days, but I guess there are really no rules. Just dont call him RIGHT AWAY! Ugh, I have a guy friend who is a "player" and I swear, when we are out, he will give his phone number, and some of those girls dont even wait 'till we get out of the building to call! Now THATS annoying!

The longer I hang around this forum, the older (and more old-fashioned) I feel! My mother taught me to never call a guy, unless of course it is a return phone call.

I always make the guy text/call me. I usually receive a text that same night or the next morning (which is, quite frankly, a bit of a turn off) If I were you I'd probably wait a day or two and then send him a casual text asking how he's doing
