Hmm..I think Im getting married.

For those of you who dont know that about me, I have always been against marriage. Well, maybe not against, but definitely not my cup of tea. I dont need a ring and official promise, since I choose every day to be with my SO and be with him no matter what anyway. Getting married is a bit like not having to make an effort any more.

Blah blah blah. My poor SO knew better than propose, he even said bitterly once - I would propose, but i dont want to hear a no.

But he is so much more than a boyfriend to me, I dont want him to be just another SO of mine, a bit like next in the queue, if you know what I mean.

So what´s a girl who changed her mind got to do? I proposed to him this morning and he said Yes

! I wish we could just do it tomorrow, but there aint no Vegas in Europe unfortunately.

Oh and there will be no pics of a ring, since I didnt get him one

Thought my gals here should know, whatever opinion or POV I have, apparently it can change, as illustrated in the story above

(Had to edit, I wasn't done typing however I sat up in my bed to write my excitement then my mouse hit the floor and I guess it published my unfinished post. So here's the rest of it!)

It's refreshing to hear that YOU proposed to him!! It's very sweet of you to take action once you've realized you've changed your mind. And it's very sweet of you to know how he feels and that he does want to be married!! You putting his feelings into mind is so wonderful!! He is a very lucky man to have you!! Now you can have some perks of being married. I don't know how you have it in Europe but there aren't as many advantages to partners who have been together long term quite like is for a married couple.

Congrats on your engagement!! I'm thrilled for you! Enjoy your engagement, even if it is a quickie one! And enjoy your marriage! The best to you both in life!!

OH! Congrats honey - so happy for you! You could always fly to vegas and have that be your 'wedding/honeymoon'.

im in australia and id elope to LV in a sec ... my boy, on the other-hand, thinks that isn't 'right' ... although im not even engaged yet so no idea why i'm having this conversation!!

Congratulations! When you reach the point where you realize you might as well just get married because, well, you already are in your hearts, it's such a beautiful, peaceful feeling. Like having found home. I'm so happy for you.

thanks girlies ! he is off to his work buddy with his comp they have a playing some crazy computer game date today, so I might think of something special for tonight ( maybe not cooking though, I dont want the poor guy food poisoned on such a nice day
