It feels different LOL It all happened yesterday morning, then he was away all day and evening and we havent spoken about it since...so I dont know, do we leave it at that, shall we start talking about the date, get the details sorted, shall i wait for him to ask? I wish he did LOL its so complicated, where is myself confidence gone hehe?

Yes, one of the reasons I changed my mind was that I dont really want to call a 36 years old guy my boyfriend! i want him to be my hubby

I think i want this ring...I´ve had my eye on it for months now It was supposed to be starting a new job gift, but I guess it will have double meaning now

Oh congratulations! That's lovely

I wasn't sure I was the marrying type either, but once we had our daughter we knew that it was something both of us wanted to do. Will you be married in a church and have the big fancy stuff or just the courthouse?

We were married in the courthouse nearly a year ago and just had a backyard BBQ to celebrate afterwards - neither of us wanted a huge wedding! LOL We don't like to be the center of attention

Yeah, I hear ya! I had this picture taped to my computer for 5 years now, as well as pictures of it all over my dh's office, garage, etc....I found a jeweler that carried it and when I went to see it IRL it was "traveling to a show" which meant, RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN, YOU CANNOT AFFORD IT!!! Every holiday season when the Fortunoff jewelry catalog would arrive I would cut out all the beautiful jewelry pictures and tape them all over me and I'll be damned, from a distance you'd have thought they were real!! I was a living, breating paper doll!!


Maybe one day, I will buy ME this!! I think it only fitting since I have 3 kids and all, no??

Perhaps in a year or two when I'm ready and I marry him.....

I remember when you got married and when you said you had barbecue, i thought it was a great idea! Definitely no church for both of us, and to be honest I would be the happiest if it was just him and me (oh and the person marrying us as well hehe) because its so private and intimate to me.

But if he wants his closest family, I won´t say no ( even though I cant stand his mother, she left him when he was a little boy with his step dad and didnt care for years and now she acts like she is mother of the year on Planet Earth ). Eloping would be the dream option though.

No celebration will also give me an excuse to visit my friends and party with them afterwards - its gonna take me a good few months of busy weekends to see them all

No white meringue then either...but I need a killer dress and heels ! Cant wait to get that sorted LOL !

I think since you have 3 kids, you just physically CANT have a ring with less than 3 center stones, thats as obvious as gravity law !

It's funny you mention calling him boyfriend, I originally wrote that in my post. My SO is 36 as well and the older we get it's getting old saying boyfriend and girlfriend. I mean I've been with the guy for so many years, but I feel like when I say bf people don't give our relationship the respect it deserves and act like we just started dating yesterday. Shoot, I never type it here, I always say my SO. Though I think it's probably me that has issue more than anyone else.

That ring is gorgeous, I think it's meant to be.
