Here was my original topic from awhile back: Thoughts and prayers needed for my dad
Well, it has been a LONG time since I updated this, mostly because we haven't known how things were going. My dad keeps going to dr.'s appointments, having blood drawn, having more tests, etc. but things weren't looking so great. So they finally put him on hormones to hopefully decrease his high PSA, which was still surprisingly high for having a prostatectomy (it's supposed to be at zero since the prostate is no longer present). Anyway, his appointment today went SO well, they also did a count of the T Cells (cancer cells) and found that they're down by 97%!!!  This is AMAZING news and we're really happy about it, hopefully things will keep going this way and getting even better. He just got another hormone shot today, then he'll have his last one in another 3 months and then they'll check his PSA again. We're hoping it will be good news again then also. So anyway, we're all in a great mood right now and I just wanted to share!  |

   That is great news!!!! I am so happy for you and your family.Go out and celebrate - and have fun!! And if he gets hormonal, just hug him.

That's great news!!! Please enjoy life with him, thank him for being a dad, as you'll never know if his life will be prolonged from here.
I lost my dad to cancer, although the 2nd chemo showed drastic improvement it was shortlived, his health took a nosedive thereafter.
