I met my DH the day after my 20th birthday (he was 26) on October 22nd 2000. He proposed on my 21st birthday the following year, and we were married the day after his birthday on March 9th 2002, when I was 21. We've been married for a little over 6 years and my love for him is stronger today than it was when we were married. I got a good one!

ITA! I don't think it's a bad thing that so many couples get married early in life. But I feel like it's a trend lately, at least in my opinion. Tons of my old high school friends are engaged, married, or with kids now; and they're all 20-23 years old. I'm really surprised. I'm 23 years old and I've been with my BF for 3 1/2 years (He just turned 24 years old). We each other very much, but both agree that we want to wait to get married when we have stable jobs and are financially secure to purchase a house, etc. I graduated college last year and he graduated last month (He had to retake 4th grade because he's from Hong Kong and his English wasn't up to par. So he took a little longer in school. But he's really older than me.) Personally, I don't want to get married until I'm at least 26. I want to enjoy my life right now.

Bit of a whirlwind start went out for 6 months before i got pregnant, got engaged when my daughter was 6 months old - we're now taking our time & enjoying our time as a family with a young child before we start stressing over a wedding.

I became engaged on February 14th of this year...yes, an awesome Valentine's Day proposal that completely shocked the heck out of me! BF and I have been together ALMOST four years. It will be four years in September. When we first got together in '04 I was 28 and he was 43. We've been living together since August of '05. As I haven't set a date yet due to my inability to decide anything about the ceremonies/procedure whatsover, I'm not sure how long the engagement will last! Hopefully by this time next year we'll be married, though.

When my husband and I met, I was 19 and he was 26 - We dated 4 years before we got engaged. Got married on 10/22/88 - I was 24, he was 31. This October would have been our 20th wedding anniversary. We were going to wait a couple years to have kids, but, that all flew right out the window! Our first child was born 3 weeks before our 1st anniversary.
