^^ did you tell your parents about that? If not, you need to and you need to remember what he looks like. There are way too many perverts that prey on young girls/women. I don't know what time of day you went running (early morning when still dark? or dusk?) either way...you should take a running partner from now on. Too many young women get kidnapped or worse when running by themselves. Take Meredith Emerson for example. She was hiking in the woods and never came back alive.

I'm not saying don't go anywhere by yourself...just be careful and mindful of your surroundings. THis guy may have been "harmless" but, you don't want to take any chances. If he follows you again (heaven forbid crazy creep), get his tag number and report him to the police.

He leaned out of his car and took a PICTURE of me. It scared the heck out of me and I started running faster. I saw him following me a little bit but then I went into a Starbucks. (I really did have to get some water and use the bathroom..lol) Thankfully he got lost.

I'm really scared and will never run alone again, because he looked like a 30-40 year old man..following me, a 14 year old. WTF. Anyway I'm sorry about those situations, if it helps..girls get it all the time too. Blegh
Anytime you are walking somewhere alone..ALWAYS look back!! especially at night.

This might sound silly but carry your keys in your hand. If anyone tries to grab on you, your keys will be a perfect weapon to scratch their face [hard!!!] and run away.

Thanks so much for the advice. :) I did tell my parents and naturally my mom flipped. I really didn't get a good look at him because I saw a camera and it was obvious since he leaned out of his car. I immediately looked the other way. There are so many sick people out there..it's disgusting. I normally run with a partner or a group of friends, sometimes even my tennis coach who is a 30 year old guy, so I'll be safe lol. It was in the middle of the day, probably around 3. I usually run in the morning or late at night (at night is always with my dad). I had an urge to run that day..normally wouldn't since it was 95 degrees out!! My parents said I did the right thing, going into the Starbucks though and I immediately called them and everything. It was really scary. Sorry for stealing the thread.

fetish: i have a girlfriend, and I was noticing how nice your shoes are. I was thinking of getting her the same pair.

fetish: I hope you don't mind, but could you show me your instep?
me: (omg) what??
fetish: I just want to see how the bottoms of your shoes look. Can you lift up your feet for me?
me: (omg, i'm in a skirt. i need to get the hell out of here) well. they are nothing special. excuse me. (bury myself in a book)

I managed to get all my stuff together quickly and then rushed out of the library and into the crowd. My heart was pounding, I really thought he was going to follow me onto my bus!!!
Ewww on the foot fetish. I once met a guy with shoe fetish.

him: Those are VERY nice shoes.
me: Oh, thank you.
him: I mean VERY nice. I know shoes, and those are VERY nice.
me: Thanks.
him: I'm a single guy with over 70 pairs of shows. They just don't make shoes like they use to. I haven't seen a pair of shoes as nice as those in a while. So, where do you live?

I managed to sneak away after a little while.

^^ LMAO where do you live...so he can lay in your closet covered with shoes? Did anyone see that episode of Half & Half where Dee Dee was dating a guy that had a shoe fetish. When she left her apartment, he was laying on the couch with her shoes laying all over him. He was talking about Jimmy Choos, Manolos, and Louboutins. THat is one funny episode.

Oh, okay good! Just checking because a lot of people do not always pay attention to their surroundings and that is how things began to happen. Glad everything worked out.

i had a bad experience on the 4th of july. a married man tried to hit on me/tried to kiss me. he was definitely attractive but was 13 years older than me, MARRIED, and had a child. to make it worse, his family was at the location at the time this happened. it was really bad.

LOL! Do you remember that episode on sex and the city where Charlotte went to a shoe store? The guy working there gave her the shoes because her feet were "lovely." She would go back and he gave her another pair of shoes. Eventually, she took the shoes back to the store because she did not feel honest.

I read somewhere in this forum about a guy who hid under a lady's vehicle while she was shopping. When she got back to her car, she discovered this creep licking her toes when she went to load her car. Then he ran away! blechhhhhh
