But ... I was at a shoe repairer just recently and while I was explaining to the guy what I wanted, I suddenly realised his attention had wandered to something behind me ... I looked behind and sure enough it was a younger woman. I didn't think she was anything to look at but the guy was just about drooling.

I laughed it off. I mean, I remember getting hit on by so many guys when I was young and it was a pain at the time, but ... yeah, it's kind of sad to think it will never happen again. I'm past my use-by date!

To the OP: maybe you should just buy a fake engagement ring and flash it with a sweet smile and "sorry, I don't think my fiance would like me seeing another man ..."
Yes, so funny, I was thinking the same thing! I'm 49, don't think I look bad, but hell, no matter how you look at it, I'm 49. It's like I'm invisable! In some ways, I miss it and in others its a relief.

I have so many funny stories. I think these two take the cake:

My classmate and I were walking downtown back to Campus and this park has a lot of homeless people that stay there at night. As she and I were walking that afternoon, this homeless man smiles (toothless literally) at us and says " You two are very beautiful ladies." We smiled back said "thanks" and kept walking. They he proceeds to say, " You have nice toes... I would love to fu%% them." We were so grossed out it wasn't even funny.

I always attract men with a foot fetish. One time I left campus to take the train back to my car. Well, while I was waiting for the train, this guy comes and sits down next to me. Most of the time I have my mp3 player on, but that day I could not get it out of my purse fast enough. THis guy tells me I have nice toes and then asks if he could rub me feet. I did not let him rub my feet. Well, I listened to my mp3 player and he left. Do you know that he went down the stairs to the other platform and asked this other lady the same thing. She actually let him rub her feet. I was like WTF! I guess her feet must have been killin' her that day.

^^OMG, that's crazy.
I have guys commenting on my shoes all the time, but fortunately never had to deal with foot fetish types.

LOL! I was once at the library waiting to catch my bus home after work one day. Some foot fetishist followed me into the library and sat across me.

fetish: hello. you have nice shoes. may i see your shoes?
me: what?
fetish: i have a girlfriend, and I was noticing how nice your shoes are. I was thinking of getting her the same pair.
me: uhm, they're Keds.
fetish: I hope you don't mind, but could you show me your instep?
me: (omg) what??
fetish: I just want to see how the bottoms of your shoes look. Can you lift up your feet for me?
me: (omg, i'm in a skirt. i need to get the hell out of here) well. they are nothing special. excuse me. (bury myself in a book)

I managed to get all my stuff together quickly and then rushed out of the library and into the crowd. My heart was pounding, I really thought he was going to follow me onto my bus!!!

------

The creepiest guys are the ones on the train, I would sit down in an available spot. The next thing I know, I feel a shoulder ever so slightly nudge against me. On purpose. My super tingly Spidey senses go into overdrive.

All of the sudden the guy is outside of the train door the next stop. I know what is happening b/c I've already sensed it as soon as I sat down so I keep my nose glued to my book. I just see within my periphery, the guy is looking at me. Hard. And jerking his body in a come hither way. Sort of trying to make me float out of the train by some kind of crazy telepathy.

I refuse to look, but everyone on the train is noticing how obvious the man is trying to pick me up. This is extremely creepy not to mention humiliating!

I think the worst part of old men hitting on me is the fact that they think someone like me (who is 24, but looks 18) would actually go out with someone like them (who could be no younger than 50). That digusts me more than the guy himself.

Ugh, I've had this happen to me on several occasions; I wish men around my age range would hit on me to this degree. What is it about older men that think they can get whatever young woman they want? Personally, I don't think I'll miss this attention...it is nerve wracking and frankly disgusting.

Totally! I get either old men hitting on me or younger guys who are young enough to be my brother.

anyway, one time I was in the city, walking, minding my own business when some old geezer comes up to me and was like "ure really pretty"
Me: erm..thx.
Him: so, where are u going? can i walk u?
me: nah, I don't think so. Im meeting my bf.
him: oh..Im sure we could go grab something real quick.
me: no thanks. *walks away real fast*
him: well, what a pity. I have lots of extra cash to burn.

Like EEEeeeewwwww! wtf?!?!?!?!

Well really, if I were a man I would risk getting arrested by waving my 'lightsaber' around and saying 'you asked for it!'. Assuming most straight men are fairly scared of seeing another man's... lightsaber.

Assumption made only on one subject though (my boyfriend).

Especially if they're old and drive cabs, from what I can gather in this thread. I shudder.

Wow scary stories! Earlier this week I went running and I was a good 3 miles away from my house probably? Well there was a guy in a car driving kind of slow next to the sidewalk I was running on, and all of a sudden he sped up and stopped where there wasn't even a red light or anything. He leaned out of his car and took a PICTURE of me. It scared the heck out of me and I started running faster. I saw him following me a little bit but then I went into a Starbucks. (I really did have to get some water and use the bathroom..lol) Thankfully he got lost.

I'm really scared and will never run alone again, because he looked like a 30-40 year old man..following me, a 14 year old. WTF. Anyway I'm sorry about those situations, if it helps..girls get it all the time too. Blegh

What the hell?! You're 14 too! No offence frosted, but you wouldn't even be completely through puberty!

yeah my friend was saying how I should take it as a compliment. WTF??
& then when I got a bit annoyed at that comment, she started saying how maybe my running shorts are too short, etc. I can't exactly wear long sweats when it's 95 degrees outside.
